The score does not represent the skull fricking that went on that night. And the gumps know it

Yeah, the gumps forget how good LSU was....all year long

we beat 7 top team by an average of 19

we gave up late TDs to Texas, Florida and Alabama....

the game wasn't as close as final score would indicate

that said, Alabama did make a nice comeback it was 32 to 25 at one time in the 3rd...

The end of the first half series of plays might have been the greatest thing I have ever seen. I can't even imagine how stunned the crowd must have been

And let's not forget the cheap shot on Landon Dickerson at the end of the interception right before halftime.

Also, for those saying, 'yeah but alabama got within a TD near the end,' or 'yeah but we needed to recover the on-side kick.'
If y'all can say THOSE 'what-ifs,' what about THIS ONE:

LSU, up 33-13, took the second-half kickoff and reached the Bama 35. Burrow went back to throw and was launching a pass in the seam to a wide open Marshall, when the pass was tipped at the last second and intercepted on the tip.
If the LSU left tackle makes his block, the pass is complete and we're up FORTY TO THIRTEEN. Game over.....

We had to recover an onside kick to win the game.

If I recall correctly, 3 games (UT, AU, BAMA?) that year came down to last possession with onside kick recoveries necessary to seal the win. This kind of gets lost in the glory that was 2019.

I actually respect that guys response. I feel like he handle that moment with maturity. I would've been losing my mind if LSU had a half like that.

somewhat flukey punt return for a touchdown

we gonna ignore Hurtz' very fluky fumble inside our 5 on the first drive of the game? That's how the game goes. We won. That's enough to make the gumps suffer. But there's no denying it was a battle and our guys stepped up (Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Moss, CEH, and many others). The fact that it was such a battle made it way more enjoyable as a fan.
