The one QB who stuck loyally for 5 years was a massive failure. That hurts anyway you slice it

How?
Not everyone works out.

I’m not sure what you mean by “a dagger for CFB”

His problem existed between his ears, it is on him to accept the reality of that situation and do the very humble and honest mental work to improve it. This is no different than a player who shows up out of shape from the off season, it's on him and nobody else.

This is exactly what someone else said. You have to be mentally tough. You can't act like you know it all and above reproach. You gotta work and work some more. You never stop because if you're hungry you gonna eat. Know your shortcomings and be willing to change and fix the things you can control. And shite happens; injuries happen, but they dont affect decision-making. If you're too hurt to play, then don't play. But if you do, be the best you can for your team. Make the right reads and decisions. Unfortunately this was a problem when he was healthy. Idk about Nuss the person but Nuss the player has potential and has shown potential in his play. But if you can't get out of the mental hole, then it won't matter how good you are. You can only control what you can control.

A dagger for college football. Lol buddy, have you ever heard of Transfer Portal or NIL Money?
I promise you the players evaluating where they’re going to play college football haven’t thought once about Nussmeier’s career.

He was paid millions. I don’t feel sorry for him.

Right, he probably hurt himself because he was out of shape. Either way, that's the biggest drop-off I've ever seen at LSU from one year to the next for a starting QB. Usually it goes the other way

I agree completely. Unfortunately, on the Rant, loyalty is low down on the totem pole when talking about qualities to admire.

Which one? Burrow, Daniels or Nuss? Or do you mean stuck with a single team> But what lesson could be drawn from that?

Except when he opted out of the bowl game that year on a team that had no QB...

You never own a position in football. And LSU showed its loyalty royally to the tune of a few million. There is no shame and has more money as a man in his 20s than most on this site.

Damn, that’s a strong manly post for a girl!

It may have not worked out how you wanted it to for Nuss. But this is nowhere close to a dagger, we literally sacrificed the season for this dude.

He didn't earn it.

Hopefully Nuss learns from this and can apply those lessons to his future career in NFL (maybe) or coaching.

What the frick are you talking about
Posted on 11/15/25 at 6:43 am to Yeti_Chaser
If Nuss plays his redshirt year instead of opting out, he goes to the NFL last year as probably a top 3 rd pick.
Now I doubt he'll get drafted

THIS sums up my impression of the 'Nuss problem' quite nicely'
I think Nuss didn't try to improve his physical or mental attitude during the off-season & showed up with just his past press clippings as his motivation.

Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels would like a word.
