Were you not alive 2 years ago when we had a WR playing QB in a bowl game?

It's amazing we didn't have a single, eligible, scholarship QB on the roster

I think LSU is 2 good recruiting years away from having a full deck to play with.

It’s not like this new staff is recruiting the defensive side at an elite level at this time. There are no excuses for us not signing elite talent the last 2 years. We did on the offensive side, so why are people still excusing the defensive side? It’s simple, we need DLman and DB’s and we’ve needed them for two cycles. We did get players who I think will develop but we need to be landing more kids each year that can challenge the guys we already have. I don’t see that right now, especially at linebacker and DL.

I don’t think it’s Kelly, I think it’s the staff that Kelly brought in on that side of the ball. They’re just not getting the job done with regards to recruiting. Cain was the only guy he had that could recruit and he’s gone. Kelly needs to do his homework or hire someone to do that homework for him and go get elite recruiters who can coach. They are out there. Have to find them and get them here.

Kelly knows offense so it isn’t a surprise to me that he was able to fix the offense as quickly as he did but now it’s time to get someone in here who could help him with the defense and House just hasn’t gotten it done. There are coaches out there who are more qualified for this position and I think would take it in a heartbeat.

Derek Mason is just one guy who I think could change the narrative around here and has a familiar face and great reputation. Phil Parker, Jim Leonard, Mike Tressel and Glenn Schumann would all be great coaches to interview and look at. What sucks is every time we start over, it sets things back a little. It could also lite a spark and help us land guys we need. Maybe they even bring some of their recruits to LSU. We sure as hell need them.

He was unquestionably shitty. But I’ll love that ole Cajun forever for the 2019 ride. It was one for the ages.

Look at the bowl game against Kansas State and what we had to put on the field

All you need to know.

Kelly said when he got here he had to teach them how to practice.

He must have hired some poor teachers, or brought in retarded players.
Orgeron had freshmen DBs that made All Amerca. Both made NFL Rosters. Both are making big plays in the NFL. Neither were coached by this staff.
The WRs, Orgeron left on the team, both had awesome seasons. Both will probably be first round draft choices. Boutte was a first round preseason potential draftee WR. A year with Kelly's staff and he dropped to the 6th round. Meanwhile, non of the freshmen WRs, coached by this staff have contributed.
Just the facts!
Wait until next season.

But if you lead a team with black players, you MUST find a way to respect THEIR position on the matter, even though it’s different from your own.

People do this all the time in other situations. For example, take race out of it — parents do stuff to help their kids with things even though the kids are choosing things the parent wouldn’t.

As someone who’s spent decades around black athletes, Ed O should have seen that right off.

How many defensive backs that have played in the last two seasons were ever on an Orgeron roster?

With the portal and having two years, they should be able to find a half-decent db to play at LSU. The school is in fricking Louisiana for crying out loud. They grow on trees here.

So if those same black athletes start chanting death to jews, ed orgeron should do the same?

His LSU record is the record.
He has a winning record vs Kirby Smart. Smart had a one year head start in building his program, and we still beat Georgia, and won a Championship before Smart.
Until he was Bugered by his Boss.

Please explain. Ed Orgeron is the poster child for arrested development.

Jontre Kirklin was the QB for Brad Davis as interim. Do you really need to know more. We got beat 132 to 7 in the Texas Bowl by KState.

That is the team, or a worse version, that was taking the field the next year without BK stepping in.

No, I don’t think so. Is that what his players were doing? Sounds like there’s another side to the story I haven’t heard.

Tell us about it.

Too bad those freshman seasons were the only major contributions they made at LSU. We all know O was the best roster manager.

Also downhill after the freshman year and was allowed to be complete fricking diva head case. Your lord and savior’s amazing winning culture at work again.

You last surviving O nutlickers are something.

Yeah, we definitely got the better end of the Orgeron vs Smart debate.

you have to be some type of family relative who has an axe to grind because you can’t be this stupid trying to compare O to Kirby.

Who was the "Leader"? Woody! He hired Pelini. O was fired mid season. His player/recruits saw the fiasco coming and left.

Wood, he did exactly what any reputable and smart A.D. would do, he gave him the rope necessary to hang himself. Do you really think that the athletic Director of a reputable program is telling the coach who he hast to hire as an OC or DC. That’s the coaches decision to make if he makes bad decisions, they end up showing themselves and the athletic Director gets him in the end. Don’t be simplistic bro.
