I think Wednesday's federal court ruling is a given. I think Sankey has the votes to expel us for "lack of institutional control"

The key facts are:

1. The problem is we did not violate any SEC by laws. Our roster does not have the pro players and it is frozen now.

2. So we are being expelled for "lack of institutional control" even though institutional control has kept us from violating any SEC by laws.

3. This is being driven by Ole Miss and Tennessee for their irrational hatred for Kiffin for quitting.

4. In a world where coaches at the drop of an hat, when players walk away and enter the transfer portal in the middle of the season for disputes over NIL money, Kiffin is the "DISLOYAL ONE"

Sankey, Ole Piss and the Misses at Tennessee can do whatever they want, I want to see LSU fight and obtain restitution for revenue loss, intentional affliction of emotional distress.

I want Sankey sued till he is put in the grave.

I want Sankey to go broke for defending himself in court.

Your title is correct. But I don’t think there is going to be a court ruling today.

I like how this has all been orchestrated by Texas, then Bama and now Ole Miss and Tennessee. Might as well just list every school. Damn you Missouri!

I have no issue with what you said. My issue is if the worst thing happened would LSU follow through or if any type of punishment happened would we fight that just as hard.

Maybe. Maybe not.

I could absolutely see Sankey saying they will hold the vote simply to have LSU bow down and admit defeat.

The SEC is using this “vote” as an intimidation technique.

I can promise you, if all presidents are willing to vote LSU out for doing nothing whatsoever, they will have the looming shadow of getting booted for similar nonsense in the future.

The voting to expel LSU is a fluid scenario. They have the numbers based on the Sanky/SEC accusations. Only one side of the story is being used so far. There will be an ebb and flow. I'm absolutely sure of it.

Yea voting us out for not breaking an actual rule would then put all other members at risk and who that is a big name would want to join with that risk.

That leaves the baylors of the world for the sec. Which then leads to espn lowering the media rights deal because Baylor is not an equal replacement to LSU.

This is dumb. SEC wanted to bring LSU to heel and establish ability to self govern since the NCAA is dying.

Thats been done.

LSU never broke league policy and closed the door on adding these two players. But if the SEC persists in its persecution of a charter school at the behest of two other schools then the league will fall apart on its own soon enough.

Unless it's a scare tactic.

If they expel an entire university out of a conference because they're mad at its football coach, the reaction will be nuclear.

As far as I’m understand they don’t NEED lack of institutional control or any reason to vote for expulsion. They are using that claim as cover for their actions as simply voting out a founding member, especially a prominent/lucrative one would just be retarded.

The real fun happens after the vote.

I still think cooler heads are going to prevail pretty easily here as it doesn’t make financial sense to do any of this. But if you get enough high position academics in a room the last decade has shown all kinds of dumb shite can happen.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think this is the play.

I think the call to vote is just a show of force and there is no real intention to kick LSU out. It would be a terrible precedent for the other institutions to potentially be removed so hastily for practically nothing.

I’d describe it as someone who brandishes a weapon with zero real intent to uss it. Removal from the conference is the last resort - nuclear option - it’s not something you really want to do, but is used as a threat.

Sankey doesn't call the vote without the numbers. LSU knew that, and that is why we filled the roster on a Tuesday night. If there is a vote on Thursday, the result will now be different than it would have been a day ago. LSU will not be voted out. But you can bet your arse that in the last 18 hours LSU made some calls and figured out they had to back down.

There are no accidents. LSU/Kiffin oversold their hand. He left 2 roster spots empty Friday, and that wasn't an accident. Sankey and the SEC presidents wanted to make sure he didn't roster the "pros" before SEC play started.

Maybe there will be. Maybe there won't be. But with regard to the amended filing, no judge is going to say the SEC cannot get together and vote on something. The results of the vote are a different matter.

The larger issue is that Sankey has done irreparable harm here. IMO Jorden should slap these bitches with contempt.

This is false. I have no idea how this will go, but I’ve seen votes fail plenty of times. In fact, didn’t the US House of Representatives defeat a proposed bill to start an amendment process to fix SCOTS at nine Jstices? Wasn’t that just a week ago?

Why? They got the entire football world believing LSU has been spearheading this legal battle directly and half of the news outlets are reporting that we actually added the players to the team

Don’t underestimate each member institution’s legal team getting a hold of the presidents and asking them if this worth years of litigation.
