Nah, but he was one of the best.

Wade was a flat out average coach with good “recruiting.” That isn’t what wins in March and his results show it.

99% of the time when the race card is pulled, it's pure bullspit. But you nailed it. Every word of your post. That's why so many of our hick fans like baseball over basketball. They just don't have the balls to admit it.

Exactly and what I have been saying all season. Street ball, which is all WW knows appparently, will never beat sound basketball. LSU players were not nearly as talented as so many on the rant want to believe, therefore he wasn't nearly the recruiter he was touted to be. He could buy players but he couldn't make them players. LSU will be in the wilderness for a while, but LSU will be a better program going forward without WW. You can book that.
Extremely overrated coach and recruiter. He couldn't identify real talent, and if you don't believe it, watch the Final Four teams and tell us that we play just like they do. That is completely laughable.

Wade thought acting like a baby and screaming “Hey Hey” every 20 seconds was coaching. If he yelled it looked like he was doing something. At no point in any season did we improve. In any game if we got behind we stayed behind usually. If we had a big lead we gave it up.

I never saw it either. frick Will Wade. I’ve said it from the start and been crucified. The people agreeing with you here: I guarantee most of them were all on board with “In Wade We Trust”, “The General”, “It’s an ongoing investigation”. Half-arse, dirty coach. frick him.

In what world would you envision LSU ever being at the level of Kansas, Duke, etc? Who would be the coach?

So how much CBB have you watched in honestly in your life? How much do your care about LSU Basketball?

It's an earnest question.

How many games did you watch this year? Do you think the team was well coached?

You’re comparing Wade to one of the actual best coaches ever, a new guy at Unc, and two cheaters who have been paying top recruits for years.

Just look at this Final Four and ask yourself a question..

If the question is if Will Wade would've ever taken LSU to a final four, my answer would probably be no.

He could've hit the Louisiana talent jackpot like Brady did in 2006, but nothing about his coaching tendencies showed me that we would constantly be pushing for final fours.

Street ball

And that’s where I stopped. You’ve probably also complained that they don’t run enough plays, asked if we are going to win the West, and have no clue that LSU’s offensive efficiency ratings over 5 years was one of that best in the country.

Stick to complaining about LSU firing O.

All except for one. I missed one and was pissed at myself. I don't need to prove my fandom to you or anyone else.

Where we're you troll?

That's the opposite of what I think. Dude was bringing in talent and figuring it out as he goes. We're a potential Elite Eight team next year.

What game are you watching because this Duke UNC game sure looks like most LSU games this year even has a player with 4 fricking fouls before the half.

He coached in two Marches and only got one NCAA tourney out of it.. He went to the SEC Tourney final last year and dominated a good St. Bonaventure team. He then lost a close game to a 1 seed as an 8 seed. He didn't have multiple chances to coach in the Tourney.

It took him a while to figure out recruiting players that could handle defense. He did that this season. Next years team was going to have a stacked roster with ball handlers, shooters, attackers, and defenders. Also, players like Brandon Murray, Alex Fudge, and Efton Reid would've been a year older. He would've had two Centers in Efton Reid and Traore with Traore probably starting because of his ability to move at his size on defense. Julian Phillips was going to be an absolute stud. Adam Miller is one of the best ball handlers in the country.

The team was going to be absolutely fricking stacked. Especially if Eason stayed. The team would've probably been top 10 in the nation in offensive efficiency and top 10 in defensive efficiency. That's what makes up a top 5-10 team in the country.

He'd already proven he could coach teams to top offensive efficiency and this year he proved he could a defensive team. Next year would've been his first with both. LSU was about to dominate in the SEC next season and then finish with a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.
