How do you know MM isn't being informed of everything going on and is getting his information from the press? Do you really think no one in the AD is talking to him about his job?

Counterpoint: LSU might end up paying him more millions than he had conference wins.

If my employer did this to me and paid me 8 Mil to leave, I'd be the happiest person on earth.

They are only getting rid of McMahon if they can get Wade.
Wade is the only coach they've even attempted to be in contact with.
This is a swap deal, they will not fire McMahon unless they know Wade is definitely in the bag.
It's that simple
They are trying to not get caught with their pants down if Wade backs out last second and we already fired McMahon and are left scrambling to find a coach they have not been in any contact with for weeks/months. They absolutely plan on keeping McMahon if Wade falls through, full stop, they are trying to make sure that doesnt happen by making Wade not be able to say no.

Everyone on this site talks in absolutes like they know anything about the program at all. Whos to say this coach hadn't been talked to after this awful season.

Why do you idiots insist on doing this shite?
How do you know this is the case?
Serious question
How do you know whether or not he’s had conversations with the administration?

How do you know how they are treating him? Do you know whether he’s been told? Maybe he’s been given a heads up, and an opportunity to start looking for another job before it becomes public. In fact, I’m pretty sure he was notified on Sunday.
Maybe wait for all the information to come out before you make a statement like that.

I can’t believe you have 28 upvotes for this ridiculous thread. This has to be a troll.

He is still empolyed, making a ton more than he has earned, I dont care how they handle his imminent departure. He is in an occupation that demands results at every level...he failed. There arent any high school coaches that would survive his dismal performance.

Every time I see him interviewed, he talks about how grateful he is for everything that has gone on for him with LSU.
Sounds like he is fine

Maybe he should've won more games at LSU, he's about to take home $11 million in buyout money if all goes to plan, simmer down

I agree, he should resign.
The man isn't trapped. He gets millions if he gets fired.

This is just silly.
He hasn't won enough games to keep his job. Why let him keep it another year if Wade falls through? It leads to two options: he continues to lose games and is fired in 2027 or maybe he has a slight upturn in success. In the latter situation, do you extend him?
