frick him. He had his chance. He was soft. Jordan Jefferson may not have been the answer but his OL certainly didn't give him much time.

Melt on, Will. But let it go. It's over. Enjoy the NC from the fan perspective because from now on, that's all you are.

No they don’t. The only thing happening here is that you need to get over something silly.

Why don’t you do the research, eh? I’ve already asked you to do it for Bama’s offense that’s year, and then you can compare that to LSU’s defense.

Trent Richardson 1st rounders
QB AJ McCarron 5th rounder
DJ Fluker 1st rounders
Chance Warmack 1st Rounders
Barrett Jones 4th Rounder
Eddie Lacey 2nd Rounder

They weren’t the best offense but they had 3 more draft picks on the OL than we did.

Both defenses were amazing but we had 1 first rounder playing on offense. They had 3 and an NFL backup at QB.

It is cowardice to PUBLICLY say you have inflammatory evidence against someone and then not PUBLICLY disseminate it. Anybody can claim something without putting forth proof. .

did you miss all the comments from WILL after that game exposing many truths?

Like?

Other players have stated they just got beat that day.

I dont know why fans cant let that go. They were beat by the only team that could beat them. This current LSU team might be the only other team that would have too.

Not saying there was some crazy conspiracy. But there's a lot of anger directed specifically towards Miles from some former players. I'd love to know what, exactly, made them maintain this level of anger after so many years.

shite, players hated saban. I have no doubt some guys get butt hurt. But who are all these players you soeak of?

Jacoby wanted to quit football when orgeron and the coaches kept switching his pisition.

our fans can really suck. Les' time was up. But his offenses and players held the records before this season.

Saying his offenses and schemes were trash is saying LSUs entire history up until rt now was trash.

I will never forgive Les for starting JJ and for not putting Lee in at all. That was the worst day in Tiger history for me. Les's decision making about the QB was always completely irrational. I honestly wonder if he had a race bias about it.

The irony is Jefferson was the right QB for the rematch

All they had to do was go to the spread and even out the box and run Jefferson. Four and five wides with running lanes would have given Jefferson room to operate. They even practiced spread formations all week and didn’t use it. That is criminal

Lee “quit the team” and came back (allegedly) I can understand not playing him, but continuing to do what wasn’t working was foolish

Well, if JJ wasn't rolling dice at 2AM he may have had a better game on 1-9.

And the GA game he was horrible and Miles stated "the offense is fine".

Furthermore, Rueben Randall says hello.

After Miles put Lee to pasture, Randall did not have another TD catch the rest of the season.

Les was just a stubborn know-it-all and became bama's bitche as a result.

Glad that page is turned.

Yes they did play better in the first game. But they came back with the same game plan in the second game. Which contributed to why they were outclassed.

Blackwell is spewing bullshite unless he just comes out and starts airing some stories. Otherwise, his words are worth as much as anybody’s on here.

How many rumors have we heard now?

-Pregame fight because players wanted Lee to start
-Players partied too hard the night before the game
-Players were scrimmaged too hard
-Les practiced one gameplan all week and used another for the game
-Lee quit the team and came back

C’mon Will, tell us what happened.

Who the hell knows. That was eight years ago. Only the staff and players know what happened and most don't want to talk about it. Let's move on.

Sort of a cheap shot but I agree 100%. Have an upvote and thanks! So glad those days are long gone. Oh, and spare me the bs where his supporters say “if only he got a good O coordinator he would still be here”. Myles fleeced LSU for millions and squandered amazing talent for years. I wish him the best wherever he goes but face it... the guy was basically a dumb arse.

You usually don’t pull your starter down 9 at the half. This isn’t a good point.

You do if your “starter” has 60 passing yards combined in the previous 6 quarters of football and your “backup” has 23 career starts, including the first 9 of that current season.

And not a single "superstar" is listed. Only two on that list are still in the NFL, as far as I can tell.

Bama definitely had the better O-line, which was the case for a number of years, but the skill positions weren't lightyears ahead.

I'm only arguing that LSU had players that could have accounted for themselves better in the rematch, and for years to follow, had the scheme been different.

However, it's pretty clear the team wasn't excited about having to play the Tide again.

Tons of "what ifs" to be asked about that game and that season.

The fact that Les Miles lost 2 games with the 2006 roster

Yes! What an imbecile! Losing two road games by to the eventual national champion, 13-1 Florida, whose only loss was to the only other team to beat LSU that year, 11-2 Auburn.

quote:

and then again with the 2007

And again, what an imbecile! Losing the classic, road sandwich game in 3 overtimes after coming off that emotional Florida win before Auburn comes to town to a Kentucky team that was ranked in the top 10, I believe, at some point that season.

Then finishing the regular season losing to a team with three NFL running backs (two 1st rounders) and a good game plan against the tired/injured LSU defense.

Why not cast blame for losing two games in 2005, as well, whenever the team had to play 12 games within 11 weeks?

Was Miles perfect? Absolutely not. Did he misuse/not use offensive talent? Absolutely. Was he one of LSU's best coaches in history? Yes, up until he couldn't move past his ego/stubbornness to change what needed to be changed.

The rumors i heard was that Jefferson was out gambling that night or missed curfew. Many players wanted Jarrett to start. They was yelling amongst the coaches and players. They wanted Jarrett to start and it wasnt happening. Was one of the reasons T Bob was benched for that game. Thats why the OL would not play for Jefferson that night or coach les. Not saying there is any truth to them. Those were just the rumors i heard.
