Kicking FGs at the edge of your kicker’s range is bad process, even if it works. Last week he made them and it left Ark in the game until the Weeks INT. This week missing left aTm in the game until LSU made the critical mistakes.

Kelly is responsible for the special teams as it’s been a ongoing problem he hasn’t fixed

Continual bad decisions and limited to no preparation for Reed are entirely on Kelly and his staff.

They played a better version of Reed the week before but had no idea how to adjust?

Plain and simple, there is a reason Kelly’s teams can’t make the killer instinct plays. That is because of him and has been consistent.

Literally, the only killer instinct he has ever shown at LSU was the Bama game first year 2 point conversion.

Other than that, he has been the reason for these issues. He is the one that kept a defensive staff that had lost the players early in the season last year. He is the one that has done almost nothing to correct the run game issues.

He is the head coach and the team is a reflection of him. And that is the fact that Kelly has no killer instinct.

On 3rd and 13 when we called a run up the middle to attempt a career long field goal in that environment is when I knew we weren’t serious about winning this game.

We shouldn’t have been kicking field goals. That’s on Kelly

Then you would have been saying, he should have taken the points on the road. Ramos has been wildly reliable this season. It was just a bad night all around from that unit.

The reason we lost is Nussmeier.

All of y’all that think this don’t know football. First pick was on him. 2nd pick was a combo coverage that was disguised and A&M made a great play. 3rd pick was completely the A&M defense. The guy looked as if he was blitzing off the edge and tucked in behind the defensive line and made an incredible play.

The fact that we have ZERO running game to support Nuss is 1000% why we lost the game. You can’t throw the ball 50 times a game with 26 yds rushing and win. Bottom line.

He’s good but he’s not Joe or Jaden

Ehh.. I would say he’s talented and has moments of brilliance. Without the stupid interceptions last night I would say he’s borderline good. But he still is not a threat to run and it’s not because he can’t physically do it. He just won’t do it.

So you can say, he’s not Joe or Jayden… but in reality we have a QB who slings it up for grabs twice a game (he did it at Ole Miss too, and arguably USCe), and never runs even when he’s got a wide open lane for a first.

His playing does not match his talent level, at all, and I don’t see that changing this season, if it even changes next year. Because he sure as hell isn’t declaring now.

No, it falls on BK. Maybe not so much the FGs, but the abysmal run game certainly does. How is this group so bad at run blocking? I don’t really totally blame BK for Reid. Reid scored off of critical interceptions and short fields. The defense never really had a chance to respond.

But BK’s bread and butter was supposed to be the OL. It has not been there. You knew going into this season that we needed a more balanced approach. We’re still calling plays as if Jayden Daniels is still the QB. Nuss is mobile and has really strong pocket awareness, but he will not break runs. Either adapt to his skill set or get somebody back there more suited for the offensive scheme. I think the former is a better idea.

Every facet of the team was beaten by the opponent last night. He is the head coach.

When a team collapses the way LSU did last night, it falls squarely on the shoulders of the head coach.

It always falls on HC. Good and bad.

Our roster in year three is simply not good enough. It’s not unique to us. There are a few year three head coaches at big programs struggling. The portal and NIL means the way Saban or Les or O built and maintained the roster is no longer the formula and every setback from year one or two still has an impact today. Steeples and Cooks, House, the DL coach situation, all impact us still today.

The one thing I don’t get is the O line. We should be so much better there in the run game. Maybe it’s an identity thing or we just got by last two years because of Jayden’s legs.

But it all lays at the feet of the head coach, win or lose.

Nuss and the OL/run game.
Sloan, IMO, has been a disappointment. No creativity and he is very predictable. Nuss isn’t developing and our run game is getting worse.

I don’t blame defense bc it did more than enough. Offense had many, many opportunities to go for the kill shot and fricked around instead.

When you are a CEO coach, you own the team and all it's processes. Nobody is blaming Andy Reid if a safety gives up a large play. Kelly does not call the offensive plays, nor does he call the defensive plays, and hopefully not special teams. His job is to win the week before the game, make the tough calls, and consistently win the "margins". He's failed on a bunch of tough calls recently, notably not having teams prepared, and not asking Sloan what the frick is going on with his simpleton level offense. The offensive line has absolutely zero self control right now, and not pulling Chester last week was one of, if not the biggest, misses he's made. Players have to be accountable within schemes that they can accomplish, and we just aren't seeing it.

Not having JD is definitely a factor, but it can’t be the excuse every time we can’t run the ball. It’s the golden rule of SEC football. You MUST BE ABLE TO RUN THE BALL. We have known this for over 100 years. Even with all the modern flash. The run game has to be present somehow.

I can't help but see Chester get mauled almost every play. It's tough to think we don't have anyone that can do better.

I agree with you. I watched both Kelly's and Elko's presser and they tell the story quite well.

It’s very hard to win on the road in the SEC, especially at Kyle Field. The receivers kept aggies in the game in the first half. Nuss handed them the game in the second half.
