Stephen A has been making way too much sense lately. It's weird.

I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I completely agree with everything Stephen A said there.

He also made me want to skull drag them even more than I had wanted to before watching.

A program destroying blowout wouldn't be more deserved by any other shitty fanbase.

I know. The apocalypse has got to be close. I only pray it’s after we win the NC this year…..at least give us a month after to enjoy this year and talk shite.

All he needed to add to this to seal the deal was “Chambliss is not gonna be there next year”.

I’ve found SAS to be reasonable over the years if you get past the bombastic presentation.

As all of them said, Kiffin left Ole Miss to go to LSU because LSU gives Kiffin a better chance to win national championships.

Orlovsky thus concludes that Kiffin would be the biggest laughingstock in college football if LSU loses to Ole Miss: Kiffin was wrong that LSU is better than Ole Miss. But Orlovsky is wishcasting. Like many in the media, he wants Kiffin to fail and fail big. He wants Kiffin to be wrong at every turn.

Orlovsky is overstating the potential negative impact of a loss to Ole Miss. Orlovsky misses the point, and Stephen A. Smith is right. Kiffin didn't go to LSU for one game or for one season. Kiffin went to LSU because LSU is a much better place to win long term.

Orlovsky is such a dumbass sometimes. I know they probably get their talking points from the show runners but remind Orlovsky that Saban lost his first game vs LSU. How’d that turn out? If we lose to Ole Miss, it’s a week long embarrassment until we roll Aggy. If Ole Miss loses, they know they’re done done.

He's also missing the point that Kiffin wanted Chambliss and Lacy to come to LSU. I believe they were still working on his case at the time and didn't know if he would even receive the 6th year. Then Ole Miss rushed in, paid a lot of money and kept them. So to make it seem like Kiffin left Chambliss is dumb and also shows the lack of knowledge many national media pundits have on the issue. But leave it to Stephen A to actually see the big picture of things practically and not use bias to form his opinions.

You're crazy. He's LSU all the way, but he allowed his son to make the decision that was best for him and not because it was what he wanted. Also, he grew up in Texas.

Why do I remember it as Ole Miss mandating guys sign deals for 2026 in order to be allowed to keep playing in the playoffs?

They did. That's why Princewill is being sued by Ole Miss. They did that because they knew Kiffin was going to go after them and some media circles were saying Chambliss was coming here until that happened. Ole Miss was scared lol.

That is the reason I think those kids who are now being sued by Ole Miss actually signed those contracts under duress.

They’re all missing an important distinction between football programs and the coach’s prestige.

Ole Miss losing is devastating to Ole Miss’s program.

LSU losing is devastating to Lane Kiffin’s prestige.

LSU losing is not devastating to LSU’s program.

If Kiffin comes to Oxford, year one with a hastily assembled team, and beats Ole Miss (don't forget, he inherited an empty QB room, and nearly empty WR and OL rooms), it will be catastrophic for OleMiss. If he loses tomorrow (as most predicted preseason), he can lose one more and still make the CFPs.
