It’s really hard in my mind to say Sam was bad.
Dude makes plays with his legs only joysticks can compete with.
The problem is he knows this and doesn’t trust the lack of poise to sit in the pocket to read a D because he naturally wants to make a play.
He has ability, we saw the dime he threw in the end zone over the defender and the other play on 3rd or 4th down and while scrambling from one side of the field to the other like Johnny Manziel.
He needs more protection for his game to evolve,
So unless we improve on the line Clark may be the better option but like we always say, the 2nd team QB is always a popular guy.

I saw exactly what you saw. He’s definitely not good enough right now. Kiff and Weiss are so great at what they do, so if Leavitt continues playing so poorly and we still don’t see Clark I will know with certainty that Clark is even worse than Leavitt. I trust Kiff and Weiss with quarterbacks more than I’ve ever trusted any others with the possible exception being Joe Brady.

He wasn’t but he’s been targeted as the scapegoat this season so the standards have shifted.

Kiffin stuck with Dart when he played just like Leavitt his first year at OM. That worked out well. I’m putting my trust in Kiffin. I’m good with whatever decision he makes.

I believe Clark will play in the NFL one day. We wasting this kid's talents on the bench. Its no secret he is much more accurate passer than leavitt and the kid is bigger and can run like a wr....jmo.
I can see where leavitt can be very good but he has to improve and is a 2 year process imo. Does he even have another year?

If Clark gets in the game and takes over with the same success he has shown already this season when in the games against Clemson and LaTech, Leavitt could be this year's version of Austin Simmons...and I would love it!

I would thrink timing is a decent part of it, which could definitely improve throughout the year. Footwork and mechanics can definitely be improved. Not saying he’s gonna become Joe burrow by then end of the year but I could definitely see him get comfortable and make the plays he should’ve made last night.
