I'm not the type to kill a tree, but that guy was from Louisiana.

I have no doubt we have those guys in our fanbase.

If they suspend Kiffin, Murrill should order the staties to arrest Sankey next time he has to come down and testify. Let him cool his heels in Angola a week for every game Kiffin has to sit out

Try not to get banned this baseball season.

They'll have to suspend other coaches as well if that's the stance.

Thanks

Admittedly, I wasn't in the best spot during baseball season. I'm good now (if I can just get over this sickness I have ).

Suspended for what? For following the rules, despite the fact that they were confusing, ever changing and obviously biased against LSU.

The only one who needs suspension is the Commissioner. I agree that Saban should be asked to take his place, what an upgrade that would be.

I would demand LSU leave the SEC immediately

We would be beyond the breaking point

We should not accept penalties for breaking zero rules. If the conference wants to be able to enforce their rules, I have no problem with that, so long as they are clearly defined and enforced consistently across all member schools.

I do not want to be part of a conference that will hand out punishments like suspending a coach when no rules were broken just because of vibes, only selectively and inconsistently enforces the rules, and also makes up new arbitrary rules on the fly that only affects one school, essentially targeting them. Ideally I would like to remain in the SEC, we have a long history here that I would prefer not to throw away but if the relationship has soured that much between all the other schools and there's no trust that it will be a fair environment going forward then sadly we should seek other avenues rather than accept being singled out and bullied over nonsense. And that includes going forward with legal proceedings to burn it down and recoup as much as we can on the way out.

I'd take out a life insurance policy on Greg Sankey...

If I were LSU, I'd sue the frick out of the other 15 members and Sankey and begin looking for a new home.

This is the epitome of arbitrary and capricious treatment.

Personally, I don't think I'll come back from that. I always suspected the conference brass had a strong Bama lean and some level of contempt for LSU. But all of this has proven that it's so much worse.

This.

It's just out in the open for everyone to see. I do believe going forward, with or without Sankey, there will continue to be animus in the SEC admin. toward LSU. I have no confidence at all in the SEC.

So, what does LSU do if we are not "kicked out of the league"? I suppose LSU will decide to, mainly because of money, stay in the SEC. But as a fan of LSU, I have zero confidence in the SEC. I think that they will punish LSU through scheduling and through officiating even more so than in the past.

They better have clear timeline of the guidance/rules broken and evidence of rules being broken after guidance was put out. Then sure. Depending on what he did after a mandate or the clear guidance was put out the penalty would have to be in line. And if there is evidence of anyone else doing the same along the same timeline there better be other universities tied up with penalties also.

Baring that then no to any fricking penalties at all

This all comes down to last weekend foreshadowing that LSU is poised to have their 4th head coach of the LSU football team of the last 25 years win a National Championship. Few teams have won a football National Championship as a member of the SEC. No team has won a National Championship in football with multiple coaches in the last 25 years.

That should tell the rest of the conference and country all that they need to know about the strength of the football program at LSU compared to everyone else. The only comparable program in the country is Ohio State.
