Ark and Missouri need to be told to go sit in the corner while traditional sec schools make an informed decision. If they don’t like it ask them to leave. Tell a@m to go sit down as well. Ok and tx are better teams traditionally with better locations and markets.

I don't have a problem with Oklahoma joining the conference, I DO have a MAJOR problem with Texas! You think the antics of the Red Elephant Club with the Birmingham folks are something, just wait until we have to deal with the arrogance and stupidity of Texas. Texas is a cancer, they've already destroyed one conference and on the way to destroy a second...let Texas go to the PAC 12 where they can bask in football irrelevance combined with liberal superiority/stupidity!!!

I don't like Texas either. But they can't and won't "destroy" this league. You don't think we deal with arrogance now? Alabama has single handedly dictated permanent opponents because of it. Texas will come in and fall in line to our conference rules. They will lose their network and they will accept splitting league profits evenly with Vanderbilt and everyone else. They will make this league more profitable and competitive, and we will love to hate them as we compete with them in the strongest conference in the nation.

Ever hear of Walmart? Headquarters are in Arkansas.

Regardless, everyone is going to sign off on Texas/Oklahoma. Too much money to be gained.

They aren’t going to be blocked. The SEC is going to take them.

But for some it is a natural look and they wear it as well as one can.

Your argument for keeping them out is that money talks? That’s precisely the argument for why they will be allowed into the conference.

They are middle of the pack. They have more money than LSU, South Carolina, State, Ole Miss and Auburn. Really they are the top of the second tier schools regarding money.

They don’t have Missouri, Vanderbilt, Bama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, TN and certainly not A&M money.

A more realistic approach would be to go to UF & say we’ll vote against FSU. Then go to USC & say we’ll vote against Clemson.

I hope this isn’t a real take, because it’s so far off base

Norhtwest Arkansas is home to 3 very large corporations that have all been generous to the University of Arkansas ......WALMART, J.B.HUNT AND TYSON FOODs and we already know about Jerry Jones and his support. The Bud Walton arena is home to their basketball team and many years ago when there were athletic dorms.....Arkansas was Walton Hall. ARKANSAS HAS MONEY!

I don’t know how deep Arkansas’ pockets are but:
The country’s largest dept store chain in in Arkansas- Dillard’s
The country’s largest trucking co. is based in Arkansas- JB Hunt
The WORLD’S largest retailer is in Arkansas- Walmart
Those are pretty stout

The numbers floating around are an extra $10+ mil per year for each school if UT and OU join. It’s going to take a hell of a lot more than the gate for three games at a neutral site to close that gap.

Certainly more than Bama, Auburn, and Tennessee. There are some very wealthy people and some very large businesses in Arkansas.

Big business, hmmmmmmm.

You think CBS, Disney and ESPN don't want this to happen?

Very deep. They have some of the deepest pockets in the conference.

There is a difference in power and money. Arkansas can compete with anyone in the conference financially. That does not mean they have the most power by far. But if the question is can Arkansas compete financially? Yes, definitely.

Are you talking about the same tight arse Walmart that has yet to settle a slip & fall case . Never. They have a staff of lawyers just to make sure that those poor arse shoppers don't get a nickel out of Walmart. That's a fact. I would imagine you can count on your balls the number of athletes that Walmart has showered with free money. They may have trillions of it , but I don't think they represent the foundation for the Hogs of Tomorrow.
