Yeah, I have 12.42 points, and that puts me at 11043 out of 12284

I don’t want to write a huge check and then be still sitting at home.
You know that tickets can be purchased outside the stadium on every game day, huh?

You don't have to be "Sitting at Home" just because you don't have Season Tickets.

I e been donating since 2007, I got tickets in 2014. This was largely due to the stadium expansion. Think I have around 19-20 points now.

There was nothing because of the schedule and coaching change.

Plenty of people bought extra tickets this year because of the hype.

I was up to 1075 philanthropic ranking last time I looked
Joined the Oaks to the tune of 5k a year and tried to make another 5k per year donation since 2019. Plus buying the tickets and paying the fee associated with them.
So yep, either write a check for 50-100k or do it the methodical way like I did. I spent 3 years in the south end zone 1 year east side and now 4 years west side Section 106. I’ve slowly moved away from the concrete barrier, closer to the end of the aisle and down a few rows, I think I’m on row 40 now, with 4 seats in a row.
I have some bad news on the really good seats. I put my name on the list to upgrade every year. Hasn’t been anywhere better to move in 3 years. (Unless you’ll take the sunny east side)
Well, there were 2 sets of 4 between the 40’s
One on the 2nd row and One on the 3rd row.
I made the mistake of buying tickets online down there one time years ago when I came in town for a game and it’s really cool being able to see the players and interact but you can only see about half the game
Personally, I wouldn’t buy below row 20

I think these days joining The Oaks (minimum 25K pledge over 5 years) is your fastest route to get where you want - although you don’t get all the points for that up front but with each installment. Talking football obviously - even your Oaks membership won’t let you sniff the chairbacks at the Box.

It’s a lot of money though. It seems to me over the past few years especially it takes a philanthropy rank somewhere around the top 1000 to get the top perks (access to on campus parking, decent seats, good post season seats). I agree with the other poster - my ranking is pretty good and I rarely see any good sideline seats available besides singles for the past several years. You just need to decide if it is at all worth it to you.

Good friends of ours have tickets in 214 right next to the gold chairs. He sells me their tickets to non-conference games every now and then.

I asked him once how much he pays for these seats and he just laughed and said that he was embarrassed to tell me.

It’s gonna cost a frick ton more than you think. I had a pretty informative conversation about it a while back on here and got some really unwelcome news. I can tell you that $15k won’t get you shite. I will tell you that there is massive amount of tickets always available in seat geek. We go to a lot of games. The tickets are a little overpriced on the secondary market but not even in the same universe as season tickets outright. If you are dead set on season tickets you are gonna have to find someone who already owns them and try to buy from them. Or be a corporation or generationally wealthy.

Does that put you about ~7500 for the regular PP rankings for tickets?

I think I could get to double digits & improve my selection window for football next year

A $50K donation won’t even start the conversation for baseball chair backs. You’re looking at $75K-$85K+.

It’s gonna be alot more than $85k honestly. Depends on which fund you donate to but some only get you tickets for the year. To get chairbacks outright lifelong you are looking at about $500k.

Philanthropic level for the start of 26 was roughly 1740 (if I remember correctly) and above. Do the math on that and see how much that is. It may be less this year because of this year but I doubt it.

Honestly we’ve been to every game we want and pretty much sat in the best seats you can get including every game in Omaha last year. We didn’t spend near what it would cost to buy season tickets.

Seat Geek is the best option for those that don’t have $100k in disposable money.

I was on the waiting list at the old stadium for 5 years before I ever got tickets.

Not much turnover in baseball tickets.

I think you’re reading that wrong.

Pledge for 5 years will mean they want $25k from you per year for 5 years (if you want 5 points per $1000)

Those are my PP rankings. Where that puts you for tickets depends on who has put in to move, buy more tickets, or buy first-time tickets. I am not sure how to determine that. I know I am pretty far down the list when it comes to those things and non-renewable parking passes. I am not high enough to qualify for renewable parking passes.

Do you have season tickets and want to move, or are you looking to buy them for the first time?
