How much money do I have to donate to get in position for football and baseball tickets?

I’m just curious. I have a son that’s going to want to start going to games soon and I kind of want to cut to the chase to get in best position, if I can afford it.

Hoping and waiting probably won’t turn into anything.

I’m talking chair backs in Baseball and 200/400s in Football.

Thousands. It’s 1 point per thousand. I have 6.58 points from college and stuff. I put in for season tickets this year and when it was my turn for selection there was nothing.

Oh wow. So 10K likely gets you nothing.

I believe there are some things you can donate to & get 4 points per $1000, so yeah you can get about 8pts for $2k total. That would put you in an okay spot for football tickets

If a friend is a season ticket holder, get them to check when renewals come around and split the fees. Probably impossible to find tickets you’re looking for, but quicker way to circumvent the system.

If they just came out and said…it’s going to take $25K to put you as first available, I’d be like…cool…at least I know.

They don’t do that though. I don’t want to write a huge check and then be still sitting at home. That’s what I’m fearful of…the paying and still waiting.

I think ~12 points (about $3k in TAF donations) should put you in an okay spot for 2027 football tickets

Just buy em on the secondary market, all the no name games or day games or rainy games or hot games or games after there is one loss (especially 2) will be significantly lower than face value (not even counting the donations)...the only thing you may have a hard time getting will be any kind of playoff tickets, but if you just bank that potential donation money, you will easily pay for them and still be way ahead

So if I pledge 25K over 5 years they will give me 125 points.

That can’t be right.

125 points would have to be enough to get decent tickets.

I’m not sure how “pledges” work

From the rankings before 2026 selections… 125 points would put you in top 2000

At this point I’m 100% totally convinced that it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars in addition to fricking Mike the Tiger in the arse and live to tell about it to get these seats in Alex Box.

Yep they didn’t even get past 997 last year or something crazy like that for baseball. So it’s a good bit more than above stated I believe.

You'd have to start with donating at least $10K to even have a chance, no guarantee. I got mine a few years ago in the upper decks in my name, these are my tickets, and I upgraded every year to better seats. There are hardly no extra seats to upgrade to in the lower bowl areas unless they are single seats. Find someone who you're good friends with that has some points to purchase extra tickets and go that route. However, they won't be in your name.
I tried getting baseball tickets last few years and that's impossible.

Baseball isn’t going to happen, you would basically need a 50-100k donation for a chance.

Football, just hope for a bad season . I got in during BKs first year and got east sideline. I know I wouldn’t touch that now because I’m like 9000ish with like 13-15 points.

I have 28 points or something close and I’m like 8,800 in rankings lol

I did barely make the cutoff for natty tickets in 2019.
