I'd get this logic if people were confident in the administration to knock it out the park with the next hire. Until there is a major house cleaning we need to pull for LSU to win.

People should always pull for LSU to win, football is too isolated and too long term for a variation of the Hinkie strategy to work.

But it's totally fair to say that leadership would botch O's replacement as well. That's certainly the most likely outcome if O were let go before Alleva left.

Nah. If he could take back that Troy loss, that'd help

.500 would have been enough to fire him imo. I say pull for our Tigers. If we aren’t competing for titles, then a change is in order.

All the O haters will say that M Richt isn’t that good of a coach....just look at his last couple of years at GA...

LSU could beat Miami by 30, and Richt would still be 1000x the coach Orgeron is.

so you want to keep a bad hire because the AD might replace him with another bad hire?

I’d actually be ok with this for one extra season, as long as it’s guaranteed to get Alleva fired first.

Miami being over rated, not much change.

So a double digit win against Miami gives you no signs of optimism at all?

First off, we actually have to win that game, period..double digits or not Miami will be the favorite.

Second off, no it won't. A 10-win season on the other hand could save O's job and the program. I'm pulling for him as he is the current leader of this program...but I am not optimistic.

I would be very happy to beat Miami early, but I don’t think they’ll finish as high as they will be ranked going in.

Would be huge for momentum though.

The number of down votes OP got indicates to me that a lot of people want us to lose just to get rid of O.

Personally, if we beat Miami, I'd be pretty optimistic for the season, regardless of how I feel about O.

I hope the posters here aren't an accurate representation of our fanbase as a hole.

As long as Nick Saban is in Tuscaloosa, LSU fans will alwasys suffer from little man complex issues.

Not much we can do about that. They're on a historical run right now. Big we can pull an upset here and there that would be a welcomed change. We have to find a way to win the close ones against them.

Hiring O may/may not be a bad hire....HISTORY will tell.

It may have been a RISKY hire and it may not have been the "best" hire, but whether or not it was a bad hire will not be known for a while.

one or two bad losses do not create the entire picture.
...of course for some that's all that matters as their hatred is 100% consuming

He wasn’t a smart hire and hasn’t done a lot to win people over.

We lost to Bama 10-0 and it was clear O will only go as far as his coordinators take him.

It’s kinda hard to say what O brings to the table on his own. Or what’s he’s done to win people over. He’s had a lot of opertunities to beat quality opponents and is like 2-4 vs those teams.

I think it was definitely high risk based on his history. He has a chance to prove that he has changed and learned some lessons. This season will tell us a lot. He will be breaking in a new QB and many new skill position players that aren't holdovers from Miles. By 2019 it will be mostly all his recruits.

The next 2 years will determine his future or lack thereof at LSU.

I want to know why people want opinions about Orgeron to change on the outcome of a single game.

For me it's always been about the big picture. How about he puts together one season without embarrassing losses, saying stupid things, and overall underachieving first instead of clinging to small glimpses of competence here and there?
