I don't get the impression there's anything weird going on with the passage of time. I think the Island/Town is just cursed, but like they said in the first episode, it's not a constant haunt..the island "wakes up" sometimes and goes dormant for others.

The intriguing part is what happened that makes it impossible for people born on the island to survive on the mainland? There must have been a catalyst for all the cursed activity and I'm betting it was brought about by the town's first mayor.

I'm sick of the story but Vrabel only has himself to blame for the mess.

He better win a ton of games again or this won't end well for him professionally.

My wife loves thrillers and horror so she's digging it right along with me. The show has an awesome ability to have you chuckle one second and create a great sense of dread almost immediately after. Quality once again from Apple.

Even superstars need a co-star and a supporting cast. When Denver won the title, Murray was outstanding, as was the supporting cast of role players. The last two seasons, the supporting cast has been terrible and Murray has been feast or famine. Credit the young T'Wolves for just being tougher and wanting it more.

My take on the top five and where Jokic fits in
1) Wemby (Most elite on Both ends of the floor)
2) SGA (Most efficient scoring guard, extremely clutch)
3) Luka (Best pure scorer in NBA, 8 assists per/game but injuries)
4)Jokic (Unicorn who fills up every stat, but defense and clutch lacking)
5) Ant (Most explosive player in the NBA and 40% 3pt shooter)

Mendoza has all the tools he needs to be a top five QB in the NFL in 4-5 years.

Whether or not the Raiders organization allows that to happen is TBD.

Most likely scenario is he will be a solid QB for a long time but never elite.

Superbad is a better movie, but American Pie is a cultural touchstone that encapsulates everything 90's and always leaves me feeling happy they happened and sad they're gone.

AP is more iconic to me. I love both movies.

True Detective S1E1 is definitely up there, along with basically the entire season.
