Denbrock nearly lost Notre Dame the game with his playcalling at the end of the game.

It took one of the worst QB decisions I've ever seen for Notre Dame to get the chance to to win the game.

Facts....the proof is in the pudding. Denbrock is a top 3 offensive coordinator whom lsu should have gave money to and never let him leave baton rouge.

And people thought that Sloan was critical in developing Daniels

The idea that everyone hated the Sloan promotion is a completely false narrative

The chatter on this board then was we had to promote him or we would lose him and then lose Underwood. We promoted him and then lost Underwood anyway. Had we hired another OC and then lost Underwood this place would have lost its mind saying that we lost Underwood because Kelly was too stubborn to promote Sloan. Sometimes you can't win.

Thank you! Give ND an average defense and you have … LSU.

Got baker back 2 yrs later, cleared def side out after just yr 2 and brought in top of class recruting and coaching guys, polian was great for roster management with the shite show post O he just was horrible as st coach, changed that, see austin Thomas. And add nabors and Thomas to this year's offense, I bet Sloan looks pretty good as an oc. Denbrock went to what his family calls home, literally. Oline coach is lsu for life and geeat recruiter and nfl is saying we had 4 nfl guys on the line this year... might be scheme approach and run design since make shift line kicked baylors arse

Hes had some bad hires, just glad he changed them out quickly. He knows he doesn't have time to fail. Roster getting back to quality depth you need.

Truth be known, both Freeman and Denbrock should be on BKs tiger staff.

LOL! The Rant hated Denbrock……. Too old, antiquated offense, didn’t relate to young players , fired by Kelly previously, ND fans hated him, and shall I go on?

And then JD5, MN, and BT Jr. happened and now Denbrock is a genius.

Denbrock makes mistakes but he knows how to get an offense ready and uses the strengths of his personnel. Leonard can barely complete a forward pass but they somehow generate enough offense with their run game to keep chains moving. Then he will set up a nice easy throw for Leonard to throw the defense off. His offensive creativity is far superior to Sloan.

Golden is one of the best D coordinators out there as well. ND has decent talent on defense but he makes great calls and the defense plays very disciplined. Oh and they have a special team coach too. BK needs to get his shite together.

What did Denbrock do schematically that was so impressive? Back shoulder heaves against bad DB play? QB draws? Seriously. The worst three calls of the night by any team were all by Denbrock.

All everyone focused on was Underwood, and the hiring of Sloan was purely to appease him. Big mistake seeing as Underwood bailed and now Kelly has to do what is right for the team and hire an actual good and experienced OC or else all this money fans are stupidly wasting on NIL will be even more wasted.

I doubt Kelly does what needs to be done with the OC hire though.

DenBrock produced a Heisman winner, 2 first round QB picks and got Cincinnati into the Playoffs as their OC just in his previous 3 seasons to this one. Anyone thinking Sloan had more to do with LSU offensive success and Daniels success last year is just stupid and ignores facts.

Umm... Both were in place when Daniels came. Sloan was important, but no. He is not the only reason became a Heisman trophy winner.

That happened because an already great talent in Daniels trusted himself on letting it rip. That was the entire difference between 2021/2022 Daniels and 2023 Heisman Daniels. It wasn't Sloan molding him.
