Urban Meyer's last drive in the Sugar Bowl after the failed on-side kick was at least as bad as anything LSU has ever done against them.

First down bomb imcomplete, stops the clock and basically gives Alabama an extra timeout

Second down one yard run. Alabama timeout

Third down QB runs for his life and gets dropped for an 11 yard sack and is lucky he didn't fumble. Alabama timeout

And then Alabama gets the ball back and goes downfield but OF COURSE they don't score.

Somehow if that was LSU, they score, no doubt.

That last drive by one of CFB's "elite" coaches was at least as stupid as 90 percent of what Les Miles has done and has been taken to task for. He was lucky that Alabama didn't take that game to OT.

Difference between being up by 7 and up by 3.

Because he won the game.

Because his defensive players tackled Bama in bounds on two plays. All LSU needed was one tackle in bounds and the game ends with an LSU win.

Who won dumbass. Why do people always try and make excuses for miles. Also why does miles need excuses. don't compsre coaches. He doesn't have to be in this discussion if he didn't always make these mistakes

This.

Also, Meyer elevates his teams. Mile's teams rarely if ever live up to their potential.Mile's involvement/coaching hinders the team

If that was LSU playing bama last night....they would have given up a touchdown and a 2 point conversion to lose the game.

Collins was the difference in the LSU game. He had vendettas and was noticeable when he went out of the Ohio St game.
Not sick riding him but he is that good. Now I have to brush my teeth, excuse me.

You are right. That was just as bad as 3 straight off tackle runs with 10 in the box. Except it ran no clock.

I imagine they were thinking Bama would jump the run & ignore the route. Get a sneaky quick score or at least a first down. But a play action roll out would have kept the clock running if the QB ate it. My choice instead.

But yea, you right. Just as stupid as our last possession "to run out the clock" play calling is usually.

Chavis wasn't coaching his defense and they made tackles in bounds on the last drive.

Although the previous quick TD drive with a two score lead was certainly Chavis-like.

To be fair, Urban is getting blasted a bit for that play.

He admitted his mistake, owned the responsibility of it, Miles would have rambled on with some ridiculous excuse that makes no sense at all.

Maybe because he doesn't throw away the first series of games with two runs up the middle and a bad pass? But LSU doesn't need possessions, right?
