So the only difference between Meyer and Miles in this case is luck and Chavis?

Somehow if that was LSU, they score, no doubt.

The somehow is that LSU has a propensity for giving up late game winning drives.

The 1st down pass was unbelievably stupid. However, Meyer doesn't get taken to task for it because they WON the game.

It's amazing how that happens when you tackle guys in-bounds when the opponent has no TOs left and you are able to get pressure on the QB with your front 4

In 2012 LSU needed one more first down to win the game. We ran right up the middle three times and made Bama burn all of their timeouts. We missed a field goal (would have only put us up 6), they marched down field for the win.

Bama's defense, minus one run, had stuffed OSU all 4th quarter. Bama's weakness was covering the deep passes. Urban played for the win.

Fans are so insecure about having someone like Miles for a head coach that they feel the need to compare Les to other coaches in order to somehow validate him as an elite coach.

Plot twist: he isn't.

That last drive by one of CFB's "elite" coaches was at least as stupid as 90 percent of what Les Miles has done and has been taken to task for. He was lucky that Alabama didn't take that game to OT.

Les is that you?

Man. We've had a decade of Miles' on field buffoonery. No coach in major college football has had such a consistent record of stupid play calls.

And you're gonna sit here and somehow compare that and criticize a coach playing the National Championship while we just lost the Music City Bowl?

I am sorry but there is NO WAY to defend that dumb arse call on first down. That costs them 40 seconds of clock time they could have rum as it spared AL a timeout so they had 2 to use on second AND third down sparing almost all the time.

I don't care if he won it was a stupid call.

True! Stupid calls but I did notice one difference on OSU defense on BAMA's last drive. Bama ran the same 1st play against OSU as they did against us with a different result. The 8-10 yard out to the tight end. In our game, he makes it to the sideline to kill the clock due to soft coverage. For OSU, he is tackled 5 yards short of the sideline and Bama struggles to get another play off without burning a lot of time.

Collins was the difference in the LSU game. He had vendettas and was noticeable when he went out of the Ohio St game.
Not sick riding him but he is that good.

Ohio St. broke his arse last night. Bama's D wasn't good with or without him last night.

Bad time for it, but this is still better than our offense because they threw on first down. We have the worst passing QB in ncaa but he only gets to throw on 3rd down.

I like playing for the W, but that was just dumb. I don't think Ohio St. completed a pass in the 4th up until that point and they had been sacked like 3 times. Ohio St. had run for a 1st down after taking the ball over at their own 5 on the previous drive and running 3 straight times. After that, they had the 85-yard TD run. Their best chance to end it was by running because they had an RB with 145 yards (not including the 85-yard run). Also, Bama's LBs were knocked out of the game.

But Urban is an elite coach and his team's are coached well enough to overcome one little coaching blunder.

Urban admits his mistakes. When does Les do that?

Do you really think Less should be spoken of in the same class as Urban and Nick? He's not equal to them at all, in fact he is LESS!

If Meyer had Les's history of stupidity and had lost the game, he would be taking a lot of heat.

You put "elite" in quotation marks. Are you implying that it's somehow unjust that Meyer is considered elite and Miles isn't?
