It is really baffling. Is the plate further away in college than HS these days? Who is teaching these supposed star pitchers how to not pitch? Yeskie? This has to end and soon.

When the tv crew says he has good stuff but he walks a lot. It’s gonna be a bad night

The hell with the white thing. He can barely throw between the entirety of both batter boxes. When you have been doing this since probably 8 or 9 years old that is embarrassing

Because in high school these guys just three fast down the plate

They do that in college it gets hit 425 feet.,

So they are learning to pitch to spots.

I agree, but with a 6 run lead? Nah, throw strikes. Let them hit it.

Fragile and coddled private school minds

Remember, baseball players aren’t real athletes. It’s a skill game, not an athletic sport.

The best athletes match great physical traits with a hardened mentality, usually coming from having struggles in life.

That’s not most baseball players. Affluent sport

You should try it yourself some time.
Make sure you throw from 60 feet, 6 inches, and throw as hard as you can.

They need to let Cowan teach 'em all how to pitch, especially how to throw a changeup. Apparently he knows something them they don't.

Google maps or Apple maps. Pretty much the same route any of the rest of us would take.

Velo and movement. If you have those attributes, everyone thinks they can fix you.

Because they throw hard with a ton of movement… Jacob Mayers has more walks than innings and he will eventually be a pro. If a guy like that figures things out at some point, he will be in the majors. Teams rather than then the guy who throws 88 but doesn’t give out free passes

Change up is the key…. If you can throw it for strikes with your fastball hitting spots…. No real need for a curve

Pitching is easy and a good way to make money. Honestly not sure why more people don’t do it

Many talented pitchers never develop a feel for a good changeup. As time goes on and people throw harder and harder, coaches feel like talented arms throwing a changeup are doing the hitter a favor.

The issue with coming to a program like LSU as a pitcher is that the SEC isn't a developmental league. These coaches know they need to win, and you can't wait for a kid to struggle through developing secondary pitches for very long.
