I thought he pitched relatively well. Defense was an absolute shite show in the 2nd inning.

BTW, we were up 1-0 to start the 2nd....

Pitched well.

Had probably 2 mistake pitches which can be expected after such a long layoff. Had some real bad fortune with a ball getting stuck in Broussard's glove (LSU equipment folk???) and that was the genesis of the bulk of the runs.

Cole gonna be alright if he's feeling good today.

He still has his stuff, but wasn't as sharp as one would have hoped. There was also a string of bad luck in the 2nd that extended the inning and chased him early.

He looked great. He was locating well, his curve ball was elite, his two seam had late movement, his four seam was fooling them. That guy has Nola stuff!

He was let down by his defense, plus he made a mistake on a perfectly timed pitchout.

He gave up a Dunn-single to the first batter because everyone in the SEC knows LSU is coming with fastballs there. The hits were scattered with only one coming on a bad pitch.

If not for the defense, and his pitchout gaffe, he goes three shutout innings.

His stuff looked ok until a few strange things happened in the second like a catchers interference on a pitch out and an error on a ball getting stuck in the glove’s webbing at second and I think an error by Hughes at third. SCar batters were seeing his stuff well from the first pitch but his velocity and movement seemed ok for his first start in a while after injury. I think he would’ve made it into the third easily had it not been for the gifted runs in the second with the errors/interference. Too me it looked like he was working to locate and pitch to contact rather than throw it by the hitters. It’s good to have him back.

He looked good until Broussard got the ball stuck in his glove which would have been 2 outs with nobody on, then the next batter gets on due to catcher interference, think he would have been on a 0-2 count if not for that on that batter.

After that Henry fell apart a bit.

Considering the layoff, he threw well. His curveball wasn't as sharp as usual and he wasn't getting as many swing and misses on his fastball but you have to be encouraged. He started like the first 8 batters off with strikes.

His stuff was live, he left a couple over the middle of the plate, but over all it wasn’t bad. And to the guy that said they scored 5 in the first, you obviously didn’t watch. They scored 5 in the second, in what might have been one of the craziest bad luck innings I’ve ever seen.

As you scroll down, you will see his stats look bad, but I think he threw better than his stats. On a routine out, the ball gets stuck in 2B's glove and then on a hit and run, catcher interference puts another runner on. He then grooved one for a ringing 2-run double but he had some bad breaks, too. Not trying to say he looked great, but it was a weird inning in the second.

I was pleased but what do I know. Terrible baseball luck in second which lead to focus problems. Should have been out of inning with no harm. Big thing today is how does he feel.

This is pretty accurate. There were some fluke things in the 2nd. And it didn't help CH's stats that Beck flopped in relief.

I actually wanted Henry to keep pitching.
