I'll never forget him running on the field waving the LSU flag after that game.

I have to admit, that one came out of nowhere.
One of the rare highlights of the Curley Hallman era.

It was my wedding day and a present to me and my bride lol. In seriousness, the wedding was in Louisiana and my Granddaddy from Alabama was the only in the house pulling for Bama. It was a great present right before I said I do 30 years ago. And yes, we are still going strong, love each other more now than then.

I remember that night. I was in Tigerland.

Amos Moses was the band that night and they had to play the obligatory "We beat Alabama" to Sweet Home Alabama.

We were so awful during my time at LSU.

Barker didn’t play a single snap. Brian Burgdhorf (sp?) filled in and David Palmer even had to take some snaps because the other guy was so bad.

Don't forget Freddie Kitchens. Dude was AWFUL in that game. It was fun while it lasted as we all dreamed of a bowl birth after that game. That is until a 4 win Arkansas team came to Death Valley on Black Friday and skull-drug LSU 42-24 and it wasn't that close. LSU wins...they go bowling. Thanks Curley!!

That’s how far LSU has come. I was devastated that they lost that Arkansas game. We were just praying for an invite to the car quest independence bowl, or whatever it was then.

That game was freezing cold and our offense wasn’t that bad. Loup was awesome, but the D gave up 100 yards rushing to 3 different players. It was an alltime choke performance.

I don’t know, but I was in Tokyo that Fall, and had no idea we won until I received the ‘Pigs Fly’ cover from the sports section sent by my dad.

THAT was crazy.

We were there. Alabama was as flat and lifeless as they could be.Zero emotion.Remember, Barker didn't play the week before either, and Brian Bergdorf beat Southern Miss 40-0.

LSU got some breaks and made the most of it.Shockingly LSU dominated the line of scrimmage.

This was huge. I remember the Bama QB couldn't hit anything that day. (Burgdorf?). Bama also missed one or two very makeable field goals.

Easy answer. Freddie Kitchens.

They put David Palmer in for him and he almost single handedly brought them back.
