Canada is not even close to the same league as Craig or Peveto. He will be back in coaching next season.

And Cam Cameron
Cam was fired with Les. Orgeron didn’t have anything to do with that.

Was he not the person that hired them in the first place? ???????

Definitely a very good decision

Craig was getting his arse chewed out last weekend by Jimbo on TV and it was hilarious

I don't think Canada was a bad Offensive Coordinator and I did not initially understand the move to boot him.
History has clearly vindicated Coach-O's decision. Like I said, I think Canada was alright as an OC, but I highly doubt the offense would be this awesome with him still in the position.

Nope - just not a professional yet. Made a young leader mistake and lost O’s trust.

Yeah, 26 PPG with NFL players at the OL, TE, RB, and WR positions was great.
I’m not a Canada apologist by any means but I don’t think he had much influence over the offense after the first month of the season.

Canada was a mixed bag, but let's be honest, DJ Chark's numbers just about doubled under Canada and he did an excellent job incorporating Darrel Williams and Russell Gage into LSU's offense. Darrell Williams had 1150+ total yards in Canada's offense. That's more total yards than he had in the other 3 years combined. Also, Canada using him in the Wildcat and doing the fake jet sweep netted LSU its longest rush in the history of the Bama series (and LSU managed to rush for more yards against Bama in one game with Canada than they did in 2015, 2016 and 2018 combined).
Etling and the other offensive players actually spoke highly of him and said they really enjoyed playing for him.

I really didn't mind Canada so much. It just wasn't a good fit.
Of the coaches O has canned though... I sincerely hope somebody absolutely fricks Dameyune Craig up the moment he steps into TS this year. It wasn't personal but he made it very personal. I'd like to see Vic Viloria snap him in half on the 50.

This about sums it up. Our talent at QB and WR is WAY superior now, but so is the scheme.
Many people forget that it was O who admitted messing with the offense and taking out Canada's presnap shifts, etc. in the 1st half of the Troy game. LSU scored 0 points and went 0-9 on 3rd down in the 1st half. At half, he decided to let Canada just run his offense. We scored 21 points in the 2nd half. If we would have won that game, we would have had a 10-win season even with extremely inexperienced WRs and Guice and Etling both battling injuries during significant portions of the season.

Why does Fat Bastard have such a negative response? O did make mistakes bringing these guys on but fixed it, learned from it, and now is winning it. Not sure why there is so much disagreement on the performance of these two former personnel.

He also didn’t have a FG kicker who was automatic from inside 50 or Joe Burrow.
Canada was a disaster here for whatever reason
But if you are gonna make this thread include Sullivan and E’s dusty arse playbook because 2018 was about the same as 2017z

Why do you think Canada is an idiot? In the last 3 years he is the ONLY OC LSU has had that scored against bama. And he came up with plays that had the bama DB's lost. If LSU had a QB in 2017 that didn't choke LSU might would've beat bama. Not sure what you base this judgement on.
