There was nothing special about his offense. Screen passes to offensive linemen is not innovative. It’s a gimmick.
Orgeron’s biggest mistake and he fixed it. He probably kbew after the Spring that he had bought a white elephant. Saban did the same thing when he was hired at LSU. He selected John Thompson as his DC. Thompson was a gimmick machine and Saban realized it after a short time then canned him before he coached a practice at LSU.
