I’m rolling with “it doesn’t matter” seeing as how no relevant poll comes out until November.

Florida doesnt have the clout to let us jump an undefeated. Not like they won’t have another p5 win of their own by that point.

I’m thinking top 5. Wouldn’t be surprised if we stay @ 9th, or 8th…

I think we can be 3.

Zero chance we are 3. We will probably be 5

It will be

Ohio state, Pen Stare and Georgia as the top 3. They aren’t moving GA down after dominating their game.

If ND wins, they will be 4 or 5. If the lose, Miami could be in the top 5

The way the polls work they may keep Texas in the top 5

Did the #1 Ranking work out for Texas? Did the #4 Ranking do anything for Clemson? I don't care where LSU is ranked as long as the keep winning.

OSU deserves 1. Penn State 2
I say we are 7 maybe 6, and I’d be just fine with that. We don’t need to skyrocket in week 2. Let’s work our way up.

If we were all prejudged on where they thought we rank before the year and any games and Clemson was #4 and we beat them at their home and we were ranked #9 I’d be pretty surprised to not see us at #5 at least probably more like 4.

Ohio State
Penn State
Georgia
LSU
Miami
Oregon
Texas
Clemson
Arizona State
Notre Dame

Is Ohio state getting #1 fair?

Meh, it's as fair as having preseason rankings can be. #3 beat #1, and #2 basically jerked off in a corner (felt good, looked ugly, proved nothing), so moving #3 to #1 makes sense. I'm not sure if UGA and Oregon did enough to keep them ahead of us or not, and I'm not convinced the media will let Texas fall more than 4 spots, so I wouldn't be surprised if we were #6.

My prediction, though, is that we'll leapfrog one of Georgia, Oregon and/or Texas and end up #5. My guess is Oregon, so:

#1 Ohio State
#2 Georgia
#3 Penn State
#4 Texas
#5 LSU
#6 Oregon
#7 Miami
#8 Arizona State
#9 Clemson
#10 South Carolina (though the AP may jump Michigan up here to be dicks)

To be clear, this is no how I think the teams should be ranked; this is just my prediction of how I think the pollsters will rank them.
