Because it's a complex issue. You have to have perkins on the field but he is not good against the run. I've been saying this all season... he is an all American in pursuit but isn't even 3rd team all sec when he has to stand his ground or set the edge in the run game. He gets swallowed up by linemen firing off the ball on run plays . He needs 15/20 lbs of muscle.

How many other top 10-15 programs would keep a coordinator whose unit performed as poorly as House??? Would Saban, Kirby...?

I mean, they aren’t wrong but we aren’t recruiting well defensively either. So how does it get better if it’s a player problem more than a coaching problem?

LSU can be the best place in the world to be a defensive coordinator. It can also be the most difficult and high pressure.

He’s not getting fired. Everyone just needs to accept it. I don’t how many times BK has stated something to the effect of “we’re playing with what we got.” That statement means House is doing the best that he can with what he has to work with.
With that said, I’d welcome him being fired and I’d love to be wrong. I just don’t see it right now.

I guess he believes, being young causes all of the missed tackles by first contact. And completely being out of position.

So the fact that they're constantly out of position, look confused, can't tackle, etc. is because they're young and has nothing to do with poor coaching?

Context is key here. Did Kelly offer this up on his own, or was his response prompted by a question he was asked? He’s not going to throw a current coach under the buss if a media question is leading him to do so.

I wouldn't read to much into his statement about House... as a professional and head of a major program, of course he is going to compliment and talk up his staff. He isn't going to talk shite about a guy that is currently working for him. Imagine what kind of potential D Coordinators would want to come to LSU if they know the head coach will bad mouth them when things aren't going great.
Would definitely expect House to be "evaluated" and fired come the end of the season.

House wont get fired
if BK decides House is not coming back, it will be a situation where House gets another job, like an NFL job. He wont get fired

All those things are true, but there's no way he keeps House. He's just being cordial to him
