or do you think he makes excuses?

I don’t know, but I bet he doesn’t throw players under the bus. You know... like Orgeron has done two years in a row now.

If Canada thought his offense would be better operated with Brennan, then Brennan should have played.

yeh but many head coaches make the call of who is playing and i think most fans would agree DE gave us a better chance to win last year. That is the state of the game you have to win now.

I agree with many of your questions about burrow and brennan. I also think that the offense we ran last year will improve, no matter who the OC or scheme run next year is, bc i believe our oline will improve. We will have better rb's and wr's should be much improved.

what about Canada stating he is going to run Etling hoping he gets hurt so he can play Brennan?

Proof of that?

Yeah those “other teams” are Miss St, Kentucky, UGA and Missouri

Miss st #1 scoring defense
Kentucky #8 scoring Defense
UGA # 16 scoring defense

And you know what’s Missouri did? Score 38 points andnmade Florida throw ball to catch up. And held them 3 less points.

When we're triaging the issues that this football team is dealing with, no reasonable person should be putting the state of the defense ahead of the state of the offense.

I've never said the offense isn't the biggest concern.

We get this offense performing to a respectable level, some of the issues with this defense will resolve, wouldn't you agree?

of course...and if they aren't playing great they will have more room for error

So, it's hearsay that's been received from members of the O regime now beating the "Aranda is no good" drum. Think I'll pass.

Ok so let's say you're right and the ATM loss is on the defense. What does that prove in your mind?

Nothing.

Then why are you in this thread talking about how Aranda is over paid? Outside of two games (according to you) the defense did a great job.

I think the defense under performed for the season.

Man you are all over the place in this thread. You posted the quote above to me and then posted this shortly after

But really outside 1 game our defense was amazing.

I would say outside of 2 games...A&M being the first half and last drive and UF we made their QB look good while plenty of lesser defenses made UF look bad

Which one is it? Did the defense underperform for the season or did they just have a drive or two in a couple games that they underperformed in?

quote:

I want our defense to be more aggressive...i don't like bend but don't break style

Again is this due to losing one of top pass rushers early in the season or is this something Aranda does every year? I mean LSU was #14 in interceptions this year. We had no pass rush, but did we really play timid on defense throughout the season?

Do you not understand that a poor performance by an offense can lead to a poor looking performance on defense?

How do you people not understand that 2 quarters of basically going 3 and out puts the opponents offense on the field more often thus giving them more opportunities to put points on the board?

If the offense was ranked even just in the top 50 the defense would have been ranked even higher. teams would have scored less points against us just by the fact that they had less opportunities to do so.

Is it wrong to expect LSU to have defenses as good as Miss. St. and Kentucky? I realize State has monsters on the line but we out talent them in secondary and at linebacker

no I just expected a great defense. If LSU fans don't think we have better talent defensively than where we finished ranked nationally defensively they are crazy. No way we don't have top 5 talent on defense. Hell with Aranda being the defensive genius everyone claims a top 5 talent defense should be much better than the one we saw...a guy like Aranda did far better with much less talent at Wisconsin

Same can be said about the offense. Yet I’ve never seen you in any thread giving criticism of Orgeron or Ensminger

You're sitting here harping on a couple of bad series or a game or two as evidence that Aranda didn't earn his paycheck which is just absurd. Every DC even great ones can have a bad drive or game especially with injuries and a poor Offense.

He’s got no dick to beat so he comes in here to jerk off orgeron .

The eagles scored 30 points offensively last night.

LSU would have been 12-0 if our offense did that in the 3 games we lost

The offense is no where near as talented as the defense and doesn't have the highest paid OC in the country
