And before you downvote….I would like it to be noted that we should NOT have fired Wade!!
But I do believe we did so because football got brought into it and we did what we had to do to save that no matter what. Kansas and Arizona are basketball schools so they told ncaa to kiss their arse
But bottom line is we need the smoke hanging over gone

We won’t get the players we need to compete in the SEC either way as long as McMahon is the HC.

Explain this better.

Do you think players actually give two fricks about NCAA, and I like this "Dracula Sanctions"?

They want to improve their game, start if possible, get them ready for some pro-ball, etc. And that starts with the program and the coach.

These “looming sanctions” didn’t stop players from coming and committing the last 3 years prior to this one. If we were gonna get hit with anything substantive we’d have self imposed this season but it’s not going to happen.

Lol…really?
Explain the fact that a kid might not want to go a program that can’t even play in a tournament, that they have dreams of playing in since they could shoot on a 10 foot basket

I agree that it’s not gonna happen.
That’s not my argument
Will Wade was a master at paying them. Which they all do. That’s not my argument

That is not the reason CMM is struggling right now and finished dead last in the conference by a wide margin

I badly want for him to do well but he is in over his head at this point.

You say a lot of things that are pure speculation and a lot of other things that are irrelevant.

Their narrative is just repetitive bullshite. They really don’t understand the landscape of NCAA basketball. And prefer not to educate themselves. Ignorance at it’s worst.

There is not 1 college basketball educated person on planet earth that thinks lsu is in any danger of getting anything worse than minor scholarship reductions. Not 1 soul.

Players don’t care, especially in the NIL era.

Didn’t stop Wade from recruiting.

McMahon needs to bring in a veteran/retired P5 coach to help him on the bench, similar to Brown bringing in Tex Winter.

Anyone can pay players, WW made players better and got them into the pros.

I certainly hope that’s true.

Why are you so certain?

We had consensus top 5-10 recruiting classes while WW was here AFTER the NOA. We have had no problem getting the players until MM.

There is no smoke. No sanctions. Nothing.

Whether he gets players or not is not the issue. The bottom line is that hes just not a good coach. Plain and simple.

I’ve never understood this, the BEST players don’t give a sht about sanctions, they’re here to get to the league as quickly as possible. Auburn went to the final four, those players are gone. It may be hard to get a 3 or 4 year player here with a sanctions threat but 5* studs are here for 9 months and gone. We talked about Jabari Smith longer on this forum than he was at Auburn. Self won a Natty in the middle of this stuff w/ 2 freshman, they gone

The NCAA/IARP have repeatedly shown that they do not intend to punish current staff/players for violations of the past. There will be no post-season ban for LSU as all players/coaches/admins that were tied to the violations have moved on or been released.
