Of course he’s a legacy from a prominent donor family so he doesn’t NEED football. Still, he waited his turn and bided his time getting a little better every year. Now its clear he’s your starting LG next to Seaton at LT and Moore at C. I think he’s going to shine. Devin Harper’s time is coming but not this season barring injury.

I got pretty pumped hearing Seaton talking about him in his media availability the other day...I mean, I'm sure that's what he is supposed to say, but seemed like he truly is bought into the unit

So him up close several times in HS and I can tell you this he was an absolutely outstanding team mate and a leader. Also very likely the hardest working player on his team.

I can't understand how the hell we rolled that offensive line out last year and all the sudden come spring he looks like day 1 starter. I honestly think Bo Davis was the worst position coach we've had in the last 30 years.

If he ends up being even just solid this year I'm convinced the previous OL coach either had it out with him or just really had no idea what he was doing.

Not sure about the former but Davis was a total and complete failure as OL coach. Of course, Kelly was so detached and unconcerned that he let that go on without intervention..
There were group of 5 programs with far less talent who had better run games against P5 teams. Part of was scheme but much of it was coaching.
Hell, even in 2024 with 2 high OL draft choices, our run game sucked. Jayden Daniela was our rushing attack in 2022 and 23.
Davis was awful.

My son and I met her and David Lafleur’s wife a couple of years ago at Martin’s Tavern in Georgetown along with one each of their daughters.
Fun group for sure.
