At first I found it suspicious that he seemed to finally break into a starting role after 4 years of bench riding and the school just spending $40 million of donors' money on the roster. But hearing Braelin Moore talk about him, it sounds like the light just turned on, the game slowed down, and now he's a solid starter. And at 22 years old, he's pretty much a grown man with 4 years of weights and practice behind him.

It looks like they just had him locked into the wrong spot and couldn’t see past it. Bordelon played well at Guard in the bowl game vs Baylor when we were very short on experienced OL. Then they evidently put him back at Tackle and left him there with the occasional blocking TE reps. If he was a viable option at G then he should have gotten reps there, especially when things with the OL really went south in the 2nd half of the season.

I do love seeing a late-career success story like this, especially when they’ve become the exception and not the rule in more recent years. You have to respect a kid who sticks around, puts in the work, and sees it pay off. Sometimes OL take a while to develop and I’m sure the change in coaching has benefited him, as well.
