Has this defense been tested?

Clearly the answer is no. We should have a lot more visibility on this unit after Saturday. Baker has yet to neutralize a mobile QB in a big game. If the defense can limit Ole Piss enough to keep LSU in the game then maybe we have ourselves a good unit.

This is a repeat of last season. Emotional win against Clemson, let down win over La Tech. Go into Oxford not knowing what you really have.

We know nearly everything we need to know after next week. Hard road game in a hostile environment against a great QB and really tough offense.

The game Saturday will tell us a lot about this defense. They just have to play well enough to keep things close.

The difference is we absolutely killed Clemson and La Tech this year. Sloppy turnovers kept it close on paper against La Tech in the first half but our performance was much better than last year.

Last year in hindsight you could tell we weren’t good because we struggled with two bad teams. This year it just means we don’t know how good we are because we just absolutely dominated two bad teams.

I seriously doubt the Defense will be responsible for a single loss this season.

Replace STTDB with "Keep your Punter warmed up bitches"

No. Clemson is really bad. But even with how bad they are if you can spot the talent on this defense, I can’t help you.

Even a good defense will fatigue with no offensive help. Les Miles’s offensive idiocy is still fresh in my mind

The defense was tested last year and played well. Offense has to pick up their end of the bargain. I would say the defense is better this year and much more aggressive.

Offense has to finish drives.

For #1 and #6 it will be personal. Princewill has been a beast so far.
I’m not really worried about the front 7 including the freshman DTs.
If anything the corners have gotten beat or flagged a couple times, but I think they will be okay.

The good news is the intensity of the practice this week will go up knowing they will have to play better than they did against Tech to win.

I like our chances

Loud and clear but I would bet my house if LSU was playing someone noteworthy the play calling wouldn't have been so aggressive and the red zone turnovers would have been field goals instead. My .02 anyway

Disagree.

Watching the Clemson game last year was way different. We were just so happy with the win that we didn't look at all the glaring issues with our play.

This year, we completely dominated them. Doesn't matter who you're playing, you couldn't of asked your team to execute better.

Same thing last night. Very sloppy play by the offense yet we still walk out with 45 points. And this defense is at worst really good.

We should have substantially more confidence going into ole miss this year compared to last year.

We haven’t seen this D vs a mobile QB, yet, and that’s been a problem for Baker defenses in past seasons.

This defense is very athletic and fast, speed kills and makes up for blown assignments.Just the depth being built along the DL is problematic for our opponents.
