I see a team taking a chance on him and moving him into some kind of wide receiver role if he has the hands. He has the height and speed and should understand how to run routes. Don't see him as a Kordell Stewart type QB though.

He’s not far off from being the rule. There has been some absolute dogshit QBs drafted over the past decade or so.

And yet some GM is going to put his entire career on the line and mortgage his franchise's future in Will Levis in a few months. I don't think y'all are appreciating how thirsty NFL teams are to find QBs.

Probably a late round pick right now. If he replicates the last 2 games over the last 4, he could go 1st round.
LOL not a chance

Malik Willis?

You see his shitty stats on a lower level team?

He went top-90 last year

Doesn't Malik Willis (and Josh Allen) also have a complete cannon of an arm?

I just don't see how a NFL team could have him projected in the mid rounds this year. Late rounds wouldn't surprise me though.

The thing Daniels has on his side is his running ability. His speed & quickness are ridiculous. He also takes a hit very well for being so thin. Great ball security as well.

Sure but both make JD look like Tom Brady in terms of college passing/defense reading, at lower levels.

Hurts went in the 2nd and he has similar issues (and a comparable arm to JD). JD comes back and improves and that's a very likely draft ceiling

I agree with the hurts comp and the overall premise that Daniels will not have trouble being drafted, however Malik's offensive line was absolutely disgusting. Id take him over Daniels easily.

No. He hasn’t shown a consistent ability to read defenses.

i think he was always a pick, but right now i'd put him in the 3-4 round territory... his vision downfield is improving, and his running ability is what really gives him value... he can move the sticks...

will he ever be a full time starter in the NFL? not likely, but he will perform well enough to stick around on someone's roster and be a decent back up

Yea, we've got this Nissan Heisman House roster of players being drafted and posters asking me if "I" watch football.

LOL.

This board is like a competition on who can keep being more continuously wrong about Daniels.

Who has been wrong about him?

Most of the posts about Daniels early on talked about how shitty he was playing. They were right.

Now that he's playing well, were those posters wrong? No.

Now, discussing what MIGHT happen if he keeps improving is not being WRONG either. It's just contemplating future scenarios.

Nothing against Daniels because he’s played great but he is not an NFL QB, he can’t throw anyone open or anticipate a break. Waiting for your guy to get open and wave at you doesn’t work in the NFL

People said the same stuff about Jalen Hurts.

Many said he should have been benched, so yes, they were painfully wrong

Draft pick =/= NFL QB

Lots of players get drafted that never make it in the NFL.

If Danny Etling can make a million in the NFL Jaden Daniels will be on a roster in the league.
