Daniels wasn’t very good passing the ball yesterday. His 1st TD throw was way under thrown - Jenkins had to come back and get it. His 2nd TD throw was a 1 yard pass to Mason Taylor. I was at the game and he missed an easy TD to Boutte in the first quarter and there were several times when everyone in the stadium could see a guy was open and Daniels couldn’t get him the ball. I think he’s a great tiger and gives max effort, but I don’t think any team will waste a draft pick on him

Danny Elting got drafted, so it’s not crazy to think Daniels will be drafted.

Malik Willis got drafted top-90 last year

Admittedly it’s easy to just focus on the tigers but I don’t think y’all truly understand what else is out there.

Hendon Hooker
Bryce young
Caleb Williams
CJ Stroud

And….?

Spencer rattler?

Bo Nix?

There’s not 30 joe burrows out there
Jayden Daniels is in top 15 QBR
16th in completion percentage
38 in passing yards
And is an elite runner.

Someone will take a flier on him at minimum if he were to enter the draft

I disagree with this statement. You can post all of the stats you want, but none of that changes the fact that he is a below average passer of the football. In 7 games this year, he’s had 1 good game throwing the ball. If he’s not a great passer in college, why would he suddenly get better in NFL?

If a team is looking for a Taysom Hill / Swiss Army knife type, they might pick him up lateish in the draft.

Can catch passes, do some running and serve as an emergency/3rd string QB if needed.

If you think he is a below average college passer then you made my point that you don’t watch enough college football

No. Still not accurate or decisive enough down field to play at the next level. Missed guys that were wide open, takes too many sacks, skipped balls to wide open guys, and underthrew the deep ball. You don't have to like it, but it is absolutely factual.

Watch out, sabes que will be shortly to tell you that you don’t know dick about football and that JD is Lamar Jackson.

Not sure if he gets drafted, but his decision to come to LSU and leave Arizona State is the smartest thing he’s ever done. The amount of exposure he’s getting and the marquis games he’s playing in every week can only help him if he continues to play well.

He would have to ball out the rest of the year to get drafted at all.

He needs to improve his passing a lot just to get drafted in the late rounds.

He really needs to come back next year and improve his passing game.

I just don't see how anyone can watch him and think he's anywhere near a good passing QB. Maybe that changes next year though.

You should watch some Josh Allen at Wyoming film. He was drafted 7th overall.

True, but Josh Allen is the exception...not the rule.

I'm not saying Daniels can't be good, but he's not there yet. Not even close.

not surprised this is getting killed but I'd ask anyone who thinks he has no shot at being drafted to look at the recent QBs taken in the latter rounds of recent drafts. Skylar Thompson, Kellen Mond (3rd round pick lmao), Jake Fromm, Cole McDonald, Nate Stanley, Ian Book, and Sam Elhinger were all drafted in the last 3 drafts. Daniels is more physically talented than most of those guys. If Jayden finishes the year strong and interviewed well at the combine he would have an excellent chance of being a late round pick.

NFL teams are *not* smart about QBs and with examples like Josh Allen they're going to continue to reach on prospects who are physically gifted but weren't actually that great in college.
