Have gone many times and it is a great environment

Bring the kids to midnight yell practice
The band is unbelievable, the fans are never an issue.

Be sure to remove your hat when walking through the student union

Be ready to stand the entire game is my only complaint

I have. The people are very nice. That is the nicest I have ever been treated by the opposing fans at an SEC away game. The campus is pristine but is very quiet before the game and there is not a lot of partying going on at tailgates. We ate Thanksgiving lunch one year at the Union because there did not seem to be many other options..

From what i hear, bad place to go for an away game. No drinking on campus so tailgating is off campus. Be glad its cold because field and stadium are hotter that hell, and hopefully they have upgraded the old part of the stadium with the expansion because the place was a dump. Also, hope they have solved the bat problem they have there. Supposedly they are protected and can nest there for ever!

no, no one, ever, had to get that out of the way, College Station rivals Starkvegas in it's exciting , charming atmosphere and unbelievably long list of exciting things to do and see, as well as an amazing variety of 5 star restaurants …. -not, best advice is, get, in, see the game, then GTFO with minimum time spent there, only upside, since you're bringing ankle biters, is that it will be family friendly, sickeningly family friendly, ...until we start to kick their arse, also, might be hard for your young'ns to see the game because they(faggies,) are not allowed to sit during the game

One of the guys I went to LSU with went, back in 1987 or 89.

Back then their stadium was clearly designed by an Aggie, as one sideline extended about 30 yards past the end zone in a straight line, so spectators there were pointed towards nothing.

My understanding is the new stadium was not designed by an Aggie.

A$M band is the greatest half
time band in America. Does really nothing to
get the crowd going ingame. They play polka's and the newest song they know is the theme from Patton from 1966.
I've been to 8-10 aggie games

Also would you recommend sitting in non LSU sections or no

Sit anywhere, don't be a prick, and you will have a great time. They are weary of LSU fans because of our reputation and they see this as a rivalry game (I do as well) even though most Tiger fans don't. Talk to the folks around you and participate in their rituals and you will be treated like a king. Tailgating is all over campus in every parking lot. A Howdy Agg will get you invited to participate. Most enjoy a little trash talk but, don't go overboard like having your kids Tiger Bait them.. Remember you are in Texas and EVERYTHING is bigger, even their egos..

IMHO its the greatest place to watch a College Football game.

I was their when Guice went HAM on them and after his 2nd big run I just sat back and enjoyed the game. My son was in the student section and we were both wearing P&G.

I'll be there, my wife is an aggie alum. I surprised her with tickets. We will be sitting in sec 326, which is really an Aggie section, but it doesn't matter to me the Aggies are a solid fan base, weird, but a pretty classy group.

Aggie fans are outstanding. Nicest in the SEC, probably in the country. As mentioned watch the Corp march in after the football team. The Corp start around their dorms and kick it off with a cannon firing off which might be fun for your kids. It's always something I catch.

Will be lots of LSU fans there including me and my family.

Don’t step on the grass or wear your cap inside any building. Everything there is a memorial to fallen soldiers. Other than that, you should have a good time.

It’s a boring atmosphere compared to most of the SEC.

Not within the stadium.
this right here. I've been to College Station double digit times over the years. Town is kind of a "big college town" atmosphere, they tailgate in the traditional sense... not like us.

But inside, bat shite or no bat shite, it's most definitely loud and they are all into the game. No hanging out for them. They're there for the game, not the party.

And no clapping like it's an Opera like those fu fu fricks in Austin.

Like most said, most well mannered but at the same time partisan fans you can meet. I frankly don't know how they strike that balance. I can't.

Especially with kids, many (not all) of their tailgates will take friendly LSU fans. Look for the biggest tents or corporate sponsors. Do ask the cook though. They are friendly, to dive in uninvited is considered rude.

And don't walk on the grass. Just don't. Not with kids.

I live 35 minutes from the stadium and go to this game every year its at Kyle Field.

Fans are always nice. I normally always sit in alumni section and will almost always wear my bright LSU ugly Christmas sweater am the only one wearing purple in the section and have no issues. You and your kids will enjoy it.

Tailgating is fun, nothing like tiger stadium but where is tailgating anything like that. I don't know where we will be tailgating yet but will most likely be with all aggies and everyone having a good time.

The fans are loud and the stadium is rocking. Even the aggie friends I have say it doesn't compare to a night game in death valley but it is a pretty cool experience.

I've lived in College Station for the past 22 years. I love living here (great place to raise a family), although it has grown a lot in the last decade, and I preferred it smaller. Wife and I are both LSU grads and go to the game with Aggie friends every year. It's a lot of fun, aggie fans are always hospitable and the environment inside the stadium is great. And so far, it has worked out for me scoreboard-wise. Don't know if I can bear living here a whole year after an LSU loss. My whole office are diehard Aggies, and they would not let me forget a loss (even if its only once every 6 years). Don't make it this year!!!!!

What? Apparently you have never been to a game there. It’s actually one of the best stadium experiences for any road game in the SEC. And, despite all the back and forth about Aggie jokes, etc., 99% of their fans are all class.

I was there for their vaunted and traditional Thanksgiving night game that they demanded from the SEC and us. It was about 80% full and they were not loud. I was sitting about as low in the lower bowl as you could so I could experience maximum noise. Perhaps its hard to get up when a freshmen puts one of your defensive backs on his arse though.

College Station is one big strip mall full of chain restaurants and hotels.

Their campus is just ugly, ugliest campus in the SEC by far. Its not dirty at all, but has nothing inspiring or beautiful. Be careful which grass you walk on.

Fans all will tell you "Howdy," but Aggies don't like LSU people they don't know personally. Most cannot figure out how they keep losing to us every year.

Stadium will be full of empty seats: LSU never sells out its allotment either. We only sold 2900 of our 6K allotment this year. Lots of good LSU fans from Texas will be sprinkled throughout the stadium.

I have been 4 times. 3 of those we bought tickets on the sidelines from StubHub. Locals gave us no real problems as they were losing and all left very early. Watching the Yell leaders in front of us on the sidelines was real fun. Those guys may be the most backward, ridiculous sideline spirit squad ever. Lotsa motions for no purpose.

We won't be going back...it is simply uninteresting and boring. College Station for a game makes Starkville look bigtime.
