thats from memory so I might be forgetting someone but those are the LSU QBs in my lifetime. point being, they're mostly black QBs, so who was he really supposed to compare Harris too?

you forgot Marcus Randall

Perilloux doesn't have the arm the Harris has, watxh 2007 Auburn last night..... Its not even close..... Arm strength wise.... perilloux was a tough runner though.

there are 4 options here:

1. youre lying
2. youre telling the truth and he magically got better overnight since he hasnt been in trouble since he left.
3. youre telling the truth and the "incidents" are still being covered up. for some reason.
4. youre lying

I disagree. Harris' arm is a little stronger, but not by much. RP could sling it when he wanted to.

I think Harris has more upside than RP from a physical standpoint. He throws a better pass w/ more velocity and seems to have a natural "feel" for the game.

And given the intangible comparison, it's not even close.

RP probably cost a championship for LSU w/ his off the field stuff but seemed to straighten out after. I think Harris could be a high draft pick and play along time in the NFL.

I played jr high football so I'm a QB analyist guru.

Every damn time...can we wait till he actually plays the majority of two or three SEC games till you guys anoint him one of the best ever to play for LSU.

It is the job of Message Boards like this to make premature and grandiose claims.... that is precisely what these boards do.

The writer is making a forecast (BH) and comparing it against a past forecast (RP) - (that never materialized). Also, I have a tough time believing anyone thinks RP is one of the best players ever at LSU.

I like this comparison.

I don't know why this has to be stated because I did not even think of this in reading the OP. This is just stupid!!!

I will say that some QB's just have the "it" factor and it appears at this point in time that Harris has it. To think that he is just a true freshman and what his future might hold for him with this young talent that we have on this team right now. Win or lose I love what we are building here.

AJ or current SEC qb's. but really, let the kid play a few fricking games before you compare him to anyone. at this point, comparing him is ignorant..........just like most of you

RP was a very special talent and had the "it" factor on the field but he just couldn't handle the fame off the field
He played for the NYG and probably has made more money in the last 5 years than you have made in the last 20.

That's totally what he is comparing. Not a dual threat QB with a strong arm.

Maybe I should've said he reminds me of Mett with a thinner build shorter and faster....the assholes in this board are abundant..
Their arms are very similar in terms of natural, effortless delivery and strength. Similar spin on the ball. Throw on the run very well. RP was slower with more of a power running style but the production is similar. RP may have been an idiot off the field but a smart QB. They are also alike when it comes to moving in the pocket and knowing when to choose their spots to run and look to throw 1st..

Remember that RP's biggest contribution occurred as a RS sophomore, when he was nearly 2 years more physically matured than BH is currently. Abilities are similar though.

Let me see how Harris handles the Aub. game. He has looked great in the last 4 quarters of action he has faced, but this will be a whole different world of college/SEC football.

There is a big difference in pressure when you start as opposed to when you sub in. imo

I hope the kid blows the doors off, but I'm not ready to give him RP ability just yet.
