Anybody know the year that the Godfathers Pizza - North Gate - 2nd floor restaurant closed ? It was Located directly across the street from The Chimes

I think there is one on Gardere and believe another out on airline? Appreciate any tips. I’m on the hunt

Daiwa $50 reel and $50 blue rod at Academy. Work perfectly well and won't feel bad when you break them doing things other than fishing (transport, truck, house).

I fish 30 times a year. Haven't had one fail on me yet.

Also allows me to put 3 combo's on the boat for 1 $300 set up.

21” speck. Not the biggest at all, but a solid fish for la marsh. Also it was my first solo trip and on artificial. A feather in the cap for a novice like myself. Onward and upward

Launched at Campo's around sunup. Fog was terrible, but eased into Bayou Loutre, headed to Muscle. Gnats were horrible. Nothing happening so went further to the mouth of Lake Eugenie, nada. Moved further into the marsh to a 3 way and could have had all the sheepshead we wanted. Boated 5 (live shrimp on dropshot)... had enough and decided to switch the plan.

Headed to south side of the dam. Nada.

Headed south to bang some of the points and pockets of the MRGO for reds. Nada.

Not really big into sheepshead, but man they were great to eat... Gonna be tough for me to leave fish to find fish next time. Just figured I gotta start learning at some point.

If you're launching there with an outboard, be sure to read up on "No Man's Land"... can be a little dangerous if visibility is low, tide is high and never been"..

Also, the main pattern in the fall is be sure to fish a falling tide. drains and passes are going to be your best bet for trout. Reds along the banks.

Where are you launching ? what kind of boat?
