re: Harold Perkins didn't participate in any drills at the NFL combine today

He should have come back for his senior season. He could have really improved his stock.
I don’t know why guys who aren’t first or second round projections declare early. It’s been a long standing trend at LSU.
Guys can make more now in NIL by just staying than they could by fighting for a roster spot in the nfl

I agree, especially with NIL. He'll make more here than he will in the NFL.

because football players have a finite shelf life. And if he got hurt again, then what? He's already been hurt once and missed a year. Perkins has already been here 4 years, so I'm not going to put him in the same group as guys who leave after 3

some players can. What do you think Perkins' NIL value would be if he came back? I'm sure he discussed this with his agent before declaring

Nothing gets the people more excited than seeing men run around in tights. He will participate in LSU Pro Day.

He’s that good man!! lol!

Almost half of these numbers were in his freshman season 7.5 sacks, 13 TFL, and 4 FF
So what? They fricked with his role every year. LSU has not had a traditional LB excel in those two areas like he was able to.

He missed 9 games in 2024. Y’all really do hate Harold Perkins huh

It’s pretty odd how much LSU fans try to find something to hate about a really good player. The expectation that every good player needs to have a Burrow-esque career is about as low IQ as you can get as a fan.

If Perkins would have been on a defense full of NFL players like Tyran Mathieu was, he would have been freed to play to his strengths and could have been an all time great. Instead he was sacrificed to mask deficiencies due to lack of talent in other areas.

He had 1 great year, basically a few high profile great games help.
Solid player, will not be pro. IMO he got lazy as his career closed at LSU.
Some people just check out, its that simple

Pro day is the best place to shine if your going to…

. Guess it makes sense given his inconsistency of effort at LSU.
so you think someone trying to go to the nfl is too lazy to do drills? thats ridiculous. hes wanting to give himself more time to train and do them at pro day. not that I agree with it. he may have some injury he got training

so you think someone trying to go to the nfl is too lazy to do drills?
In fairness we do probably assume poor effort in cases where it's not. Sometimes he just has no idea how to diagnose plays, so it looks like he's just going through the motions
To make a 53-man roster would be more luck than he's deserved

Justin Vincent was a beast as a freshman too. How’d that turn out? One great season does not make a player.

I would argue that his stats were extremely consistent at LSU. Perhaps too consistent considering he was supposed to blow up after his freshman season.

Look below at how they used him when the ball was in the air,(pass plays) based on snap %:
2022: 31% pass rush 25% coverage
2023: injured
2024: 20% pass rush 38% coverage
2025: 11% pass rush 48% coverage
You are basically asking why didnt the best pass rusher on the team get better when they moved him to safety, all while missing a full year with an ACL injury. But yea, its like Justin Vincent tho lmao.
I mean, that is basically what he has been, a box safety. You might understand that when there is a safety playing in the star this year, huh?
Posted on 2/27/26 at 12:49 pm to Lester Earl
And other than the 3 picks this year his coverage stats didn’t really improve with all those extra coverage snaps.
They didn’t play to his strengths.
They didn’t play to his strengths.

best pass rusher on the team
He was never going to be an NFL pass rusher as small as he is, so getting him away from the line was in his best interest
Unfortunately the reality is he's just not particularly good anywhere. Hopefully he'll have a nice UFL career though
Posted on 2/27/26 at 12:52 pm to Vacherie Saint
His coverage grades were much better whey they selectively used him that way, rather than as a 3rd safety, naturally
