Lol, it happens all the time across eras. Kevin Garnett did it all the time.

But keep hating Reese because she shite talked.

It amazes me the total ignorance of the male sportscasters about women’s basketball. You haven’t seen any of the female ex players black or white make comments like this towards LSU. They understand the trash talking has been around got a long time

It's worse. Imus was a shock jock, and it was an offhand comment.

Bolch is supposed to be a mainstream writer, and he typed out his comments, read over them, and submitted them for publication.

I know the R word can make folks uncomfortable but this is exactly what happened. Dude called a team full of (mostly) fair skin girls “America’s Sweethearts” and a team full of (mostly) dark skin girls “dirty debutantes”.

Nothing better than throwing the liberals identity politics right back in their faces.

So is the UCLA coach racist? She wanted Reese to get a technical? She also shared the original article, therefore she agreed with it...is she racist?

Where did I ever say this?

Can you think both Clark and Reese can be too much with on court talk? No matter what their skin color is? Also, Clark's own dad told her to shut up...Angel needs that too sometimes, doesn't make it racist.

Absolutely, agree. Was talking about the reaction to what they did, including reactions of hypocritical liberals like Keith Olbermann. I personally wish they’d both let their play do the talking. I’m old school,, but also recognize the difference they’re reacted to generally. You’re arguing against things I never said.

Not justifying what Reese did. I didn’t like it and agree with you, but Clark can act like an entitled shite on the court too and still be treated like the belle of the ball. Imagine the reaction if Reese f-bombed the crowd like that? It was hardly a story with Clark.

The Rant would disown her even more than they do now.

I get that, so why is everyone saying that it is an attack on Mulkey?

Sexist for sure.

We should let Dawn Staley stick to the ‘racist’ stuff.

She was very specific in saying it was directed at her black teamamtes.

I think Hailey has a reputation and was included. I remember her prior coach having to constantly stay on her to calm the f down or something like that. She just isn’t the best player on her team anymore, is playing new position and not as cocky as she has struggled playing point, and doesn’t get the same press attention. Just because she says it was just directed at black teammates doesn’t make it so.

I think article was mostly about the coach and trying to jump on the Washington Post bandwagon. You put South Carolina’s coach at LSU with same players and actions, and this article isn’t written.

I also think LSU is trying to push it’s them against the world right now for some extra motivation which is fine and probably needed tomorrow as they won last year with hot scorer off the bench.

Do not conflate the overuse of the word with it having no meaning. While I think it gets thrown around way too liberally, I'd never be foolish enough to pretend like it doesn't exist. Even today.
sure it exists, we live in a country with 330 million people.

But it exists in small individual pockets, not systemic at all.

But the word is used FAR too often, where it doesn’t belong by the left.

Or... and just hear me out here... they should feel that they should be able to speak up in defense of themselves when someone in the media says something that is a terrible representation of them.

Some people want to bury their heads in the ground. They want to argue that everything is racist; therefore, nothing is.

That way, they don't have to think about it. They don't have to process it.

They don't want to deal with reality. They don't want to deal with facts. They don't want to deal with details.

It doesn't affect them, so they don't care.

Facts... most of the people who are triggered or get angry about this topic typically got a little bit of it in them. They'll never admit it. They just try to hide their hate through innuendos comments and phrases as if someone can't read through that BS.

The southern states should absolutely use the monster the rest of the country has created with racism. We should use the exact same approach the Guayanan President just used in the BBC interview to shut their “conversation” down.

150 years later, they left the south for dead, majority of blacks stayed here, but we have somehow found a way to get along. Yet the coastal elites take every opportunity to point to poverty, median incomes, education level, test scores, etc. prevalent in the south. That’s racism just like the OP suggests.

No heated stories of racism come from the states that have all the black people, not appropriately disproportionately that is. We live in a global world and continue to let them continue their blatant racism because they control the narrative.

This story should be a reminder that people project, they give themselves away. A reminder that the reason you hear about racism so much, is because a lot of people want you to feel that way too.
