Did what they had to do. About all you can say right now.

Thing is, that's all they needed. This wasn't the meet to kill on. Might be good that Florida seems to have left it all out there today.

Sort of the similar to something my daughter's coach you to say...you don't want to win warm up. Winning the semis gets you to the final. That is all.

Individual Championship watch.

These are the events that we have the high score on right now, but if someone scores higher tonight we obviously get bumped.

All Around: Kailin Chio - 39.6125

Vault: Kaliya Lincoln/Kaitlin Chio - 9.9625

Uneven bars: Florida girl leads, who cares

Balance Beam: Konnor McClain - 9.9500

Floor: Kailin Chio - 9.9625

Her, Swaggy Maggie and Trinity Thomas are the best I’ve seen since I’ve been watching.

He sounds like someone told him that his favorite gloryhole was getting shut down.

Glad the Tigers pulled it out and advanced. Hopefully Chio can stay ahead and win some championships.

What are they going to do between now and Saturday? Relax, get drunk, workout daily or have a new mind set?

Need a happy Saturday!

Oh yeah. Crazy sticking is like hitting. Ounce they start they can’t be stopped. Sticking has been our problem all yr. The gymnastics are good.

Chio is gonna have to be special on Saturday. At least one 10 and maybe two.

That special.

To be honest with the results on bars and beam, LSU almost threw it away. LSU got lucky that Georgia's last vaulted crumbled. If she scores above a 9.9, LSUs season is over. It quite literally looked like LSU was done until the last vault score popped up and then they were in.

ETA: I dont know how you downvote that. It's a fact that anything above a 9.9 for Georgia's anchor would have eliminated LSU.

They were not on their A game but in a situation like that all you want is to be in the top two. Hopefully their nerves settle down for Saturday

Can they practice bars between then and now? We know the can stick beam, but haven’t seen a solid bar outing across the board all season.

Disagree. Chio does pretty much what she did today and hit bars. It wasn't Chio that got us into trouble. It was the whole bar and beam rotation. Bars wasn't great and they just weren't as on. It carried over to beam. They needed this to be great on Saturday.

They'll have podium training tomorrow and they'll probably have a fun/relaxing team event...watch a movie, something like that. No going out or partying in the gymnastics world. That's after. Gymnasts are wound up tight perfectionists as I've known them.

They will have podium training tomorrow. Nothing is exactly practice at this point. They will go through routines, some probably visualize stuff. You really don't want to practice a lot or really focus on trying to do too much. Nobody can get in their heads like gymnasts and divers. They want to keep it light, not tight.

I still can't wrap my head around the 9.4 on beam. Im going to have to rewatch it, not that I really know what I'm looking for. Postseason scores are completely different though, it almost seems like the deductions compound with more judges.

I don’t actually think the math works that way if you look at the 5 scores we both ultimately counted; now, would there have been more pressure on Kaliya? Maybe, but I think it still would have been mathematically possible - I am on my phone so can’t do that math right now, but I I’ll later if anyone is interested, lol.

Riley getting the highest ub score with that basic arse routine is criminal.

That’s why Oklahoma always scores so high. Basic arse routines that they don’t make mistakes on, then get awarded for mediocrity.

I did it, but I did it in my head, so I'm not completely sure on it.
