I looked at the scores on bars for evey team and Florida was the only team to score decent and they got a 49.6+ and everybody else was 49.2 or below, so it wasn't just LSU.

First off, her routine started from 9.8, not 10 because she didn't have an acro series. I don't remember the rest as I had it on my phone at work. She probably didn't stick and lost .1 for that. She possibly had her chest down when she finished something and any tiny bobble can be .05.
Every meet I've every watched (my daughter was a gymnast for 5 years and then a diver thru NCAA) is judged much more harshly the higher level and more important the meet. Something that gets by at a regular season home SEC meet won't always cut it at regionals or nationals. That's just how it is.
Also, often if something doesn't stick, it's because something else wasn't perfect that prevented them from sticking. Like over/under rotation, off to a side, etc. People always concentrate on the stick, but it's usually that they don't stick because of a different mistake that often is more of a deduction that the step. A tiny step is only .05 and a bigger one .1.

I didn't get to see bars. I'll try to go back and watch. Just a tiny flexed foot can take off. Sometimes it's really hard to see deductions because we usually aren't at the right angle.

Watching the landings on bars for both LSU and Stanford there seemed to be a lot of give on the mat, they’d really sink into it. For Florida the mat seemed stiffer, and they had better landings.

This is why I almost can’t watch gymnastics anymore. It never seems fair. I just love our girls too much!
