nothing in our history suggests our offense will be anywhere near what we had this year.

And what offenses anywhere suggest duplicating LSU's past season?

No doubt people will bitch if Brennan only throws for 3500 or so yards and 30 touchdowns next season, but that is still a damned good season, for LSU or anyone. Anyone expecting a repeat of 6000 yds and 60 TDs is a fool.

Some of them. A few of the Rational Bama fans have acknowledged LSU is loaded with talent as LSU always is.

Yes they expect to beat LSU in BTR. I don’t think they will. But that is why you play the game.

Funny they think Bama will be better without Tua. They are just as unproven at QB as we are

The offense will take a slight step back..but the skill players are ridiculous and the o-line will be great again.

The real question is Brennan...but given he has only gotten to play with the backups, he’s looked pretty damned good.

Everyone is concerned about Brennan...but I think everyone forgets that it was Brennan taking home the passing awards at the 7/7 camps all over the country in high school. Kids got a cannon for a arm and he’s accurate. They will spend a summer getting his short passing game down and he will be a gamer next season. He won’t be as mobile as Burrow was, but he also won’t under throw open receivers as often, which will make up for lack of mobility.

The Gumps are the ones in decline, not us.

LSU should NEVER finish a season with a single digit in the win column. That's 3 losses or fewer. VERY reasonable with the resources we have.

Depends on the QB play this year. There is enough talent on this team to win it again but liklihood is probably less than 30%. Fortunately for us there are not many better or more experienced QB's in front of us. If we can get to the back half of the season undefeated then this team will grow up and gain confidence. Again I think the Texas game is the indicator for the ceiling on this team.

The best thing for this team is that we are not playing against any ghosts in our past now... The team already has some confidence and swag.

Saw a post on TD a week or two ago that said Bama does not lead for any 2021 player in the Top 50 on 247. I had to look for myself and he was right. That does not mean they will not get any of these players but it does show that they are not the marquis place to be for the HS juniors.

tDecline is real Bama...

They have to hope for this. Other than Alabama football, they have nothing else in their lives to look forward to

You are. We will still be more talented than our 2018 10 win team.

I think that was our least talented team in 20 years. Now saying that, we have been loaded in the past 20 years. And we still won 10 games.

08 and 09 was a rash of injuries. 08 finished on our 4th string QB and 09 finished on our 4th string RB.

LSU going 8-5 would not disappoint you.

That's simply incredible.

Agree with you Sasquatch, I can't believe the nonsense of others: believing that LSU will fail as a Gene Chizik did after Auburn NC.

Baloney. LSU has to reload is all. The person who will be missed most is Burrow. Brennan will be good but we will not know how good until he plays. I have listened to several or more top coaches including Smart(GA), Fisher(A) and several ex HC discuss why the LSU offense was so good. The answer was the same. LSU had 5 top skill players Burrow was throwing to. These skill players were all big playmakers. The more they did the more confident they were. The genera feeling is that no one can successfully cover the players LSU had.

The elements are still there. Chase and Marshall are coming back along with Racey McMath and there are 3-4 top 100 WR behind them including 2 5* who are faster than those 3. Arik Gilbert a true freak athletic will be at TE. The RB will furnish another CEH.

The elements are there to rebuild the OL.

IMO the D will be better than last year. The regular season should be 10-2 or better. I will be dissatisfied with 10-2.

We coming again.
