If you're not doing it now, you wouldn't be able to get started fast enough if it happens right away. How long do you expect to have to survive from the farming? You're asking questions so I'm assuming you're not serious.

You'll need equipment and tools, animals...etc. Do you have a stash of seeds? You'll need that every year. What about salt, sugar?

Check out some farms nearby and go visit. A small plot in town is supplemental, but can't be relied on for enough to feed you unless you have a big hoard of basics.

The larger your farm is, the more you can produce to offset different pest losses and other crap that happens.

In other words, get the largest farm you can afford, with a pond for your fishing.

Never thought about being poor. We grew up in Mississippi on a farm; went to school at small rural community before consolidation. Graduation was 8th grade, but it was closed when I finished 5th grade.
Some had more than others, like baseball gloves, bicycles..etc. We had to pick up pecans to sell for anything we needed. I bought my first baseball glove and rifle by saving money from pecans.
One thing that I did learn from being poor is that you can tell who was poor by how they waste their money.
Don't blow your money on shite to prove how rich you are.
No one knows that.
All that can be done is to stay the course. Stand up for what is your rights; fight for your freedom. Vote for who you think is best for your beliefs.
The dust bin will come because of political differences that can't be resolved.
He didn't make it up a-hole...you did! Why would he know anything about boomers? Does he call his grandparents boomers, or do you? How does a kid know about generational differences unless they have been taught that.

My answer is my family. I have been to war though, and had a chance to die for everyone here. Same for police men and women that go out every day. Same with the doctors and nurses....it's really hard to say what one will do until the opportunity arises

This could be only the beginning of a bad situation. You may still need all your prep stuff. Stay prepared, hurricane season is on the way also.
I understand his greed, but what's with reducing world population through vaccines?
Bill Gates has an agenda that I don't understand. He's throwing money at it to achieve the goal that he believes will be needed to accomplish what he wants. What is his ultimate goal? Certainly not to kill people with vaccines. How many other's are in on this? George Soros? Who knows?

Think about what you can do wit a cell phone, now imagine that technology implanted on your hand or forehead... We are already being tracked through our phones, many pay through their phones, etc... The step is not that far away...

It's already in place for the US; banks know and will supply IRS with your spending. Try Truth Finder for some information on yourself and friends. You have a social security number; check your credit.

The campaign against drugs and terrorists has enhanced the feds capabilities in recent years, but information on us has always been available. Internet makes it easy to search; even on dark web.
Not to me..I had the annual flu shot and kept working. Everyone I knew did the same, no big deal. But, now we have this novel virus without a vaccine, although I did take the annual flu shot for this year. This Covid-19 is a big deal because it spreads so fast, wasn't any vaccine, no cure after you're sick, kills people, and that makes it a big deal for me because, except for being fat, I fit all the other things that means death if I get it.
Why don't we just let it run it's course? Old and weak people will die, young and healthy will survive. Win/Win situation, nothing to be scared of?
Maytag is a reliable brand, but it takes 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. Drying, no problems. GE takes approx. 30 minutes to wash, but not as reliable or cost as much. Maytag has a digital timer that has to go thru its cycles and it takes a while to do it. GE motor has a digital cycler on it and will go out often. Motor costs around 2fifty
Agree with you Sasquatch, I can't believe the nonsense of others: believing that LSU will fail as a Gene Chizik did after Auburn NC.
Like your reply. $3.50 sounds right.. My grandson (21 yo) lives with us and works much as he can to pay car note, insurance, phone. It's hard for young people to get ahead.
