After 47 years of being a diehard Ohio State Buckeye - having spent time with Woody Hayes as a kid (he spent 45 minutes with me and changed my life). I wrote children’s books on Ohio State football

Buckeye Book

My two girls have Woody Hayes influenced names... my daughters use Woody Hayes coins as ball markers and don’t dare utter the name of That Team Up North.... The antics of the university and the conference are making it very difficult for me to continue to support this school I spent a lifetime living in the culture and celebrating this each year with my family Just as my parents did for me (after relocating to Ohio coming from India and Burma in the late 50’s)...

looks like I’m looking for a new team and in the SEC to throw my allegiance and devotion too - I always loved LSU as a kid -way back when - when the college football hall of game was in Cincinnati- I used to go there every year and used to love all the LSU stuff there... love Joe Burrow - grew up loving the legend of Billy Cannon - and rooted for Dalton Hilliard back in the day... y’all got a great culture and an administration that seems to support the culture as well... hope u guys are accepting wayward souls...

This really hit me last week as Mississippi State Women’s Golf started following my 11 year old daughters golf Instagram after she finished in the top 25 at the worlds at Pinehurst - the impossible is happening - we may be becoming an SEC Free Agent family - Such is life I suppose

Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy the season and hopefully there will be no politics involved...just the game and an escape from the craziness of the world.

Don't let your daughter go to MS State. She can play obviously, there are other good golf schools in the SEC.

Woody Hayes, one of the all-time CFB legends.

First thing you'll have to do as a new Tiger fan is ask for gumbo recipes--light roux not allowed.

The 1st thing you need to know as a LSU fan is you always want to fire the coach and bench the starter.

Well that might be true on tRant, but not so much the average fans.

What’s the saying about tRant? Their perfect scenario is for LSU to win a national championship and fire the coach the next season?

Two of the most disappointing games I can remember when I first started at LSU in 1987 were our games against Ohio State in 1987 and 1988. We tied you in 1987 in Tiger Stadium in a game that as I recall we should have won, then we end up with a double digit lead with like 4 minutes left up in the Horseshoe a year later, only to see that lead evaporate in a heartbeat. As I recall, didn't Bo Pelini make a pick?

Which reminds me, our DC is a Buckeye as well.

I have great memories of Keith Jackson calling your games way back in the late 70s and early 80s, and I always loved the way he said "Buckeyes."

I had a very close friend in the early 2000s who was a Buckeye, and I remember how much he couldn't believe the 2002 title win over Miami, then a year later, we were celebrating the Tigers win over Oklahoma.

I hated the way it ended for Woody and most don't realize he continued to teach military history at OSU after he was fired as the HC. In any event, welcome home .... we been waiting for you!

You can at least take comfort in knowing your school and state aren’t as cucked as Michigan. Really feel for die hard Buckeyes as it seemed like it was their year.
