This is a very tough situation. Greg will need care for the rest of his life. He has a long road ahead. I don’t know what I would do in this situation? I can say I would not worry about money, but the money will be needed for a lifetime of Greg’s care.
Bad things happen to good people, and unfortunately health is one of those things. The lawsuit will bring to life if LSU actually did anything wrong, but given what we currently know it's hard to see how LSU could have done better. That being said, dirty pool to put out a hit piece when you damn well know once you file that lawsuit LSU will basically stop communicating with you.

No that's not what it claimed.

Was a complete hit job on LSUU going after deep pockets..
With the NFL gone the money expected by the family had to come from somewhere...
From a medical perspective the diagnosis took less than the average time..and brain surgery carries huge risk for complications based on size and location...this is a sad story of a dude with a brain tumor who is looking to blame everybody with money.

And Brooks is not the only player that this happened to. His case just ended up as being the most serious.

Sure baw.

Greg brooks isn’t the first athlete to get sick while playing a college sport
Let me fill you in:
The vast majority don’t maliciously sue the school….

There wasn’t. He was told if he couldn’t practice then they couldn’t guarantee him a starting role
Newsflash: no shite

I'm not a doctor and would never venture an actual medical opinion. The LSU trainers had to think concussion and CTE first and treat it accordingly. After then would you think something else is wrong and get tested at the hospital. In hindsight, I'm sure everyone wishes it was caught earlier and Greg would've fully recovered. Baring surgical malpractice, which is the Dr. and hospital's fault. I'm not sure how much actual fault can be placed on LSU.

Has anyone had to call and try to schedule an appointment with any kind of specialist since 2020? 39 days from first report to surgery is incredibly fast. Nobody else could get an MRI scheduled in 39 days much less anything else. Hate this for the family but the 39 days is not long at all

Wow! He just blew up CBK for sure. During those 39 days he speaks of about the LSU medical staff complaining to them. I have to ask this question?? Did he also complain to his family or parents, and they ignored it also?? If the complaints were at LSU, he also complained to mom and dad about the headaches and dizziness. I think this is all about getting the bills paid. I love GB3 but the parents should have taken some responsibility of getting him to a specialist. I wish him nothing but the best on recovery. CBK better explain why he did not contact GB3 during this time of symptoms being brought to LSU staffs' attention.

If they had diagnosed this a month earlier it wouldnt have changed anything
The outcome would have been the same

This.
The LSU Football Coaching Staff, especially the head coach is not involved in the day to day, minute by minute activities of each LSU football player. Head Coach receives daily updates from LSU medical staff, and he acts accordingly, but only up to the med staff recommendation etc.,
If Brooks had been complaining daily about his issues and the medical staff did not investigate further i.e., send him off to specialist, then I can see an issue here.
But Brooks father somehow blaming BK on this is straight up bullshite.
Again, we all know what's really going on here.

Everyone is being super nice and respectful to the family because of the situation and not calling this what it is.
Exactly.
And acting like Brian Kelly ghosted him after they filed a lawsuit is disingenuous. Lawyers would never let him reach out.

Jr says he was complaining daily to staff and they did nothing. Yet he never mentioned it to his dad for 39 days? Weird.
NIL changes the landscape of things. GB had the funds to go seek his own medical counsel and failed to do so. He can't hold the school liable for something he should've done.
I can see where if he brought a doctors note to the coaches and they shredded it and revoked his scholly, etc.
NO excuse other than GB failed to take care of himself.

I can tell you first hand that LSU athletes get access to first class care faster than most can dream of. Having headaches and dizziness is not an indicator that you jump straight to "brain tumor". Especially when practicing and working out in the Louisiana heat. As far as the surgery goes, anytime you are dealing with brain tissue there is going to be swelling after. when there is swelling there is some level of compression of blood vessels. When that happens there is always the risk of stroke. None of that is indicative of poor care or incompetence. That is why you sign informed consents before a procedure, it reviews the risks so you can make an informed decision. This is a sad situation for a great young man, but it is not a negative towards LSU or the medical care. It's a hit piece in hopes of gaining financial support.

There is almost zero chance the hospital or doctor will be liable for any of this. That was a very tough surgery in an incredibly sensitive area of the brain. Unfortunately not every brain surgery goes well, it’s not malpractice when this occurs.
