If we would’ve had a committee instead of Joe “the search” Alleva we probably wouldn’t be in the predicament that landed us Kelly in the first place.

Really? What year?

Even with weak arse ND schedule and media homerism he couldnt win the big games. Two seasons of vacated wins dont forget

Correct. Alleva rage hired Orgeron after Herman left him at the alter. Woodward wanted to hire the biggest name possible, not the best coach for LSU.

I think everybody should reserve judgment until we see what coach we wind up with. I think it's going to be Sumrall and it's probably been that way from the beginning. And I won't be mad about tha

It won't be if the Board of Supervisors is picking. The chairman is a Tulane grad. He's not going to raid his alma mater for LSU.

Serious question. How bad is this for our chances at landing a top tier candidate? Should we start looking at coordinators now? Too many cooks in the kitchen vibes…

Actually that is how Saban and Mikes was hired, resulted in two national championships.

Mike Foster could care less about football and Blanco hated lsu

The gov said lsu isn't offering a big contract and insulted Jimmy Sexton. What do you think?

Looking dysfunctional doesn't help.

No worthwhile coach will want to become a political appointee, which is what this will become. Landry wants LSU football to fail and become dependent on the state to help fund the program. Landry is too stupid to know LSU athletics doesn’t depend on the state for any money.

That we don’t have a president is a moot point. We aren’t hiring a new coach or even interviewing a candidate right now. By the time it’s time to hire the next coach, we’ll have a president.

Yeah that’s what I thought too. Guess we really need to look for someone who loves LSU.

100% agree.

He can accomplish all that he wants to regarding this LSU coaching search without making a spectacle of it.

If he keeps his mouth shut, then nothing changes. He will still get his way.

But no. He has to run his GD mouth and now LSU is looking like a ****show.

Is it time to start a recall?

They never work in this state but pissed off LSU fans could absolutely make it work.

Here is your daily reminder that Landry is not an LSU fan. He only cares about LSU insofar as it helps him politically.

He has to pretend to care about LSU and LSU athletics because of how many people in this state actually do care about them.
