Given the brutal schedule and CLK’s first year, how would you feel with a 7-5 finish?

Saban went 6-6 his first year at Bama.
Kiffin was 5-5 his first year at Ole Miss.
Given our schedule and complete roster overhaul and major house cleaning, how would you feel if Lane Kiffin’s LSU Tigers football team finished 7-5 this season?
I wouldn’t be shocked, but I’d be a little disappointed.

I would still believe in Lane but I’d be fricking pissed. Also a full retirement from viewing the message boards, as it would be peak misery.

I'd be extremely disappointed. I still believe Kiffin will build a contender and I know the first year can have some warts but I predicted 9-3 with this schedule. Losses to Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas. A fourth loss would be disappointing. A fifth loss would simply be a bad first year.

Definitely disappointed. I predicted 10 wins and 2 losses to Ole Miss and Alabama. Anything less than that after all the hype would be extremely disappointing and disheartening.

7-5 would be a disappointment. I still trust the team and still feel the floor is 9-3.

I would not be surprised at all. I picked them at 8-4 before the season started, so considering the injuries we’ve had already, I don’t think 7-5 would be very surprising. Doesn’t mean I consider that successful, just not surprising.

I think you have to give him three full years to really make any adjustments of expectations.

I'm expecting 4 losses just based on the schedule and who the QBs are for the opposing teams. We kept Baker, therefore any team we play with a decent QB is pretty much a guaranteed loss.
Now that we know Miss St and AU have decent QBs, those are two more games we could very well lose.
Oh, and KY has a mobile QB too.
That's another toss up game now.

Assuming the $40 million roster is accurate. LSU is in this year for ~$73 million.

That would be a pretty unacceptable result for the season. In the age of NIL your first year isn’t like it used to be.
