If it was a decent throw, the penalty would stand.

Aggies claiming Jenkins didn't make an attempt at the ball

The funniest thing about that is it's not a part of the rule. Also really hard to make an attempt to catch a pass when someone is trying to hijack a piggyback ride.

What?

It was totally catchable. Jenkins was not allowed to go up and get it because he had an aTm defender on his back before the ball got there. The ball was only 7' above the ground.

JJ's head snaps forward immediately upon impact so the can't even see the ball coming any longer.

Right. He was in the process of timing his jump then right before jumping the defender is on his back.

I guess the refs at the time considered it incidental contact because the aTm defender did go after the ball, but not until he took out Jenkins which they totally ignored when the ruled to change the call. Their initial instincts were correct. It was a bad call. With that said, to win a national championship you have to be good enough to beat the refs sometimes too.

A&M fans sitting with a us didn’t understand why it was picked up either. They made sure not to show the replay in the stadium.
At the Arkansas game they showed every replay of close calls. At A&M, no close calls we’re replayed in the stadium

He could have caught that without even jumping. I can't believe they PICKED up the flag on that call. Defender damn near took his head off clearly before the ball got there

That's because another human being was inhibiting his ability to reach up for the ball.

How about when Mohammed made a 1 handed grab for TD but he pushed off LSU coverage guy who was looking back at QB and looking to intercept the ball..

What is sad is that, as LSU fans, we know there are other teams in the conference that don't have to deal with that at all. What a joke this conference is.

Not with a safety on his back as he was trying to jump.

that's bullshite - the receiver was in position to just jump a foot or so to secure that catch - the defense ran in to him from behind as he was beginning the leap, and then rode him to the ground as the ball went over their heads.

That is the most bullshite call I've ever seen. = beats the Peterson 'non-catch' in my opinion.

Even though you're 100% wrong, it doesn't matter because "catchable" is essentially defined as a legal forward pass.

20 for Aggie is Jardin Gilbert. Another UHigh POS who decided to go to an SECW rival.

uh, that's not even close to being correct.

PI calls are often waved off due to the ball being deemed uncatchable.

Anybody paying attention to college football knows this is true.

Now I'm not saying the ball to Jenkins was indeed uncatchable - I'm only saying you're dead wrong saying that any forward pass is catchable. That's simply false.

Were either of the two officials that appear in that GIF involved in the call? It appears to be the Ref in the foreground about 15 yard away and an Umpire who ducked under the pass.

Who threw the flag and where was that official? I thought it was the Ref that made the call to waive it, but I'm not sure.
