That call pissed me off. Wanted to absolutely punt it. It was only 3-0 at that point. They got an easy fg after one first down from it.. and we wound up losing by 2.

Awful decision to go for it at that spot of the field in the first half.. in a tight game.

I prefer QB sneak on 4th and 1 FWIW.

Clapp straight went beast mode to try to cover up our shitty TEs.

Learn statistics. It wasn't a bad decision to go for it.

that les for u. it was perfect time for play action pass to tight end

This is one of those few times during the game where the coaches made the right call and it would have been a TD with even basic execution.

Miles and co. deserve a ton of heat, but this play call isn't the place for that. You can dissect the decision to go for it though.

It was an absolutely good call; the LSU line should have easily picked that up. Unfortunately, TEs Jeter (81) and Moreau (84) completely missed their blocks and they were the primary gap for LF7. If just one of those guys makes a block, we get the first down.

Both TEs just lowered their heads, closed their eyes, and hoped to run into somebody.

In real time I thought Clapp fricked up not picking up the inside LB as he pulled, and if the Moreau isn't blown off of his block by Jeter, that would have actually been the case. Wisconsin actually played it incorrectly and took the outside containment and it should have been a TD.

Moreau was engaged right off the snap. Jeter blew him up and took both of them stumbling through the hole. God it was bad.

With better execution that play gets big yards.

Nothing wrong with the play call

That is one of two major screw ups by Clapp in that game that I can recall. The interception was the other. You can't blame Malone for choosing the outside rusher on a pass play. Clapp was literally blocking no one.

It was not going to be a TD, but had Jeter gotten around and blocked the guy that tackled him, it would have been an easy first down.

JD Moore was killing guys last Saturday, on a positive note. He was missed severely last year.

In all fairness to the play call, if 2 guys execute their blocks it's easily a first down, possibly a TD. If you're going to play manball, ya gotta act like a f'ing man at the LOS.

Jeter needs to be benched. He's soft.
