i don't give a crap about your statistics. It made no sense. Punt the ball and get to half time down 3-0 instead of handing them at least a field goal. The way the half had gone I seriously doubt we would have scored there anyways

God that is terrible. Just shows you Adrian Peterson, Fournette, or anyone else can't run anywhere if others don't do their jobs including the coaches for calling the same predictable bullshite

Horrible.

Moreau stops in the hole and whiffs. Jeter looks like he tries to chip. Terrible, predictable play calling at it's best.

Is it more of a power play if the guard is pulling?

Our President just said Americans are lazy. I think he must of had the Tiger offensive line in mind when he made that remark.

even a naked bootleg would be fine with me (by the way, the naked bootleg is one of my favorite plays which almost always works, especically with a QB with legs). Would've been an easy first down, and probably a big gainer.

My comment about staying home was in reference to the bootleg. #14, the CB/OLB/S on the left side of the play stayed home. Bootleg would have been tough.

Wisky's LB and safety didn't stay home at all - they both headed straight toward our right side even before the handoff.

Maybe, but they're in man right there. The two TEs block down so the safety and LB meet them in the hole. A good ol Spider 2 Y Banana may have worked though.

It was the rarely seen "toss trap" executed to horse shite.

does the Saban method of being demanding and holding players accountable work better than the Miles method?

You mean, having an offense predicated on power run and playing the game in a phone booth but not recruiting the personnel to run that system? That's les? Shocker.

As we saw last year, recruiting rankings mean very little for LSU--5 star receivers mean very little when the meat and potatoes of the offense goes to shite when the fullback or blocking TE get injured.

81 didn't frick it up, 84 did. 84 blocked 81's man instead of his own. When 81 went to block, 84 was in the way so 81 ran him over making room for both of their defenders to make the play.

The number of mistakes in blocking assignments in that game were simply astounding. I can deal with Miles's scheme, as boring as it is, as long as they execute it. What happened Saturday can only be explained as an embarrassment.

This is one of those few times during the game where the coaches made the right call and it would have been a TD with even basic execution.

I think what all of these film breakdown threads are showing is that the play design and play calls were actually pretty good. THE PLAYERS DIDNT EXECUTE ALL DAY. I love all of you Monday morning QBs hating on a play call in which we ask our huge offensive line and the best RB in college football to gain one yard. As is evident to any objective observer, if only one of the two TE executes, we easily pick up the first down and possibly Leonard is let loose with a whole lotta green in front of him.

I know it doesn't fit the narrative of Les/Cam being dumb but this was an excellent play call.
