Danielson can only think of two other college quarterbacks he’s covered that have been this impressive — Cam Newton at Auburn and Vince Young at Texas.

“Cam’s senior year, Vince Young’s senior year and this one are the three most dominant quarterbacks I’ve ever seen,” Danielson said on College Sports on SiriusXM on Monday.

“He’s not a Blake Sims, Tim Tebow scrambler where you’re nervous about where he’s going to go,” Danielson said. “He’s a maneuvering in the pocket, ‘Oh no, I can do more and burn you.’ There’s not very many people that I’ve covered that plays this type of ball. I don’t think he has the strongest arm I’ve ever seen. … He just seems to know how to play football.”

If Joe runs the table and continue to dominate, you can be looking at possibly 15-0, 7 Top 10 wins, SEC Champ, Heisman, 5500 yards 55 TDs, National Champ... I don’t care who’s the competition THAT would be the best season in the history of college football

If anything, that sells Burrow short.

He can run, he is accurate, he is physically strong but the most important of all he is an excellent decision maker.

I've been tired of the arm strength knock force while now. Does he have a Jamarcus Russell cannon arm? No. But he has perfect touch on every ball he throws, never throws it too hard, and can whip it downfield when he needs to. His arm is plenty strong, and this constant effort to mark that as one thing he doesnt do well is garbage.

One of his TD passes this past Saturday was an absolute bullet into a window about a foot square.

He's got all the velocity he needs.

He can also gain more strength & velocity through NFL training. His arm strength is fine & will only get better but unfortunately we are going to hear about this for several more months until Burrow gets drafted.

so he comes out and says this at the END of the season. Where was the excitement and exclamation when it was unfolding?

Even still, he injects far too much bias into the game commentary. He makes excuses an projects where it is not needed. I'd take nearly any NFL announcer/color guy over him.

I love the guy but he routinely under-throws deep balls.

He can also throw while he is running to either side. Man that’s fun to watch.

Before this season I thought Cam Newton and Tim Tebow were the two greatest college players I had ever seen.

If Joe can finish with a natty like these two did he will be the greatest player in CFB history in my humble opinion.

Yeah but he probably ranked Fromm's ahead of him.

Given more time to talk I find it impossible for Gary not to mention Alabama. so there's that.

It's true. It's incredibly nitpicky, of course, but it's true. He's been a tad off on deep balls for a few games now. They're not underthroen on purpose when WRs have a step on the DB.

Good news is he does everything else at an otherworldly level.

He has below average arm strength for an NFL QB. However tired you are, it does not change that. Just as Drew Brees is short, and Brady is spastic, Burrow is a little weak in the arm. All three of those QBs would be better if their weakness wasn't there.
